I seriously doubt that any of the walk-ons play any meaningful minutes. Barlow and Byrd have impressed in pick-up games from what I'm told, and Marcius and Bade will be needed. I wouldn't be surprised to see at 4 play a little. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

6/5 and 199 on Barlow makes me think someone needs to give him sammich or two. |

Well, he's a wing, so that's pretty good size for a wing. He's pretty long, and he's been on campus since June, so I'm sure he's been introduced to the weight room and dining hall. |

The guy picked last in gym class

Any chance that Bade or Marcius will redshirt? If so, who would the more likely one be? I would think Marcius, given his late signing date, would probably be the one. Size wise, I think Marcius is the one more ready, but Bade might developmentally be better. I guess it would depend on what they wanted....I think Marcius is going to be the better 'trash man,' the guy who does the dirty work down low, sacrifices his body and picks up rebounds. |

As far as the 'trash man' goes, I would actually think Bade would be the better one...given his football background. I've never seen Marcius play, but Euro-big men have a reputation for being soft...and I must admit I am a little prejudice in that way. But I do agree that Marcius sounds like he would be more ready to contribute off the bat. I don't think either will redshirt...but if so, my guess would be Bade. |

I think I read a few months back that Painter was entertaining the idea of playing Barlow at the point. (can't find the source) Any news on that? |

I know Bade has a tight end background, but Marcius does have two inches and 15 pounds on Bade. From what I've heard about Marcius, he isn't typical of European big men in that he prefers to be on the inside as opposed to the outside. |

We'll need both guys inside. Unless one of them really struggles I think we keep both and each will see some minutes. |

Doubtful on the redshirting given our scholarship situation. |

Scholarship situation + lack of frontcourt depth = Bade and Marcius both play |
