Ore had better talent on the perimeter on both sides of the ball. Purdue played with great heart and effort. Like the basketball team the football team has an X Factor. I believe it to be Joey Elliot and he has the same problem as KG did last season. Elliot seems to be a calming motivating and very well respected player by his teammates. He also has the ability to make a boneheaded play. The D gave up 21 points on the road in an hostile place with an very late kickoff. The running game seems committed and hard charging with Taylor and Ralph. Smith and V man seem to be giving a lot effort. Joey well just doesn't have the experience most 5th year seniors do. I see the difference between a 4-8 5-7 and 7-5 season being him. The best thing about this team is the effort and I see them keeping many games close. I am not sure we can beat Iowa oe Wiscon or NW or Illinios or MSU. I do believe we will be in those games. PSU and UM will probably roll us. OSU is really hard to read because they have a great team and a good team. Regardless of this season the future looks bright and I see a lot of positives from Hope and company. The team seems to have regained the Refuse to lose attitude.

TOs and special teams. Its haunted Purdue forever, and it seems to be rearing its ugly head again. Eliminate just one of the bad TOs, and we win. But thats usually the difference between a good team and an average team. I'm hoping Marve can get healthy and be the real deal next year because if we had good QB play, with what we'll be returning, our offense will be pretty damn good. “He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

If the guy at QB at Miami is the real deal (which he appears to be) then I can see why Marve would leave. He might be a huge talent that just wasn't going to see the field behind another huge talent. Would be a great get for Purdue. |

Both were pretty even statistically last year. Harris has developed nicely over the past year though. If Marve is close to that, that' be huge for Purdue. Plus, having a highly recruited QB from the FL area starting on your team should help in recruiting that area, which is a huge focus for our program right now. |

FL 3* Ath Isiah Williams, FL 3* DB Dion Hanks, and FL 3* DB Jabari Price will all be visiting. Williams and Hanks are the two being talked about as possible commits. 4* FL WR OJ Ross has stated that he' down to Purdue and North Carolina. |

Its a pretty big priority position in recruiting this year since we're starting 4 seniors this year. We've already got one commitment in FL S EJ Johnson, and we're actively going after 5-10 more athletes/DBs, most from the Sunshine state. |
