Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

More shocking stuff.

Joey Elliot tries to throw the ball down the field twice and doesn't come within 5 yards of completing the pass.

3rd and 4, we have the nation's leading rusher going into the game, and we throw it twice?
I'm not sure we could get 4 yards on two rushes, but I agree those were two terrible routes to run when you need 4 yards.

Whoever #75 on Purdue is needs to be disciplined. I may be wrong, but it sure as hell looks like he punched the NIU defender in the gut at the end.
I saw that as well. It looked like the NIU player was still on the ground when they cut to commercial. That'd be pretty sad if he injured that kid.

Zach Reckman is 75

If he really did punch someone, Hope should call up Chip Kelly because this week for him will be a lot like Kelly's first.

I liked our odds more getting running than throwing.

Oh well, this game proves we have lots of work to do and it could be a long season if things don't get turned around.

We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

We Purdue fans should know better than to get sucked by promising performances. Didn't think we'd be good but the first two games gave me some "hope".

The only encouraging thing for from the first two games was the running game IMO. Pretty much everything else was average or bad from what I saw.

I like Hope, and I'm certainly not going to write him off after 3 games, but this year is going to be an uphill battle all the way. Its going to be a year or two before we see any change. Once those FL kids and his recruits are in place, I think we'll see a difference.

Tough loss. I didn't expect you guys to win 7 or 8 games, but i didn't expect you to lose to a MAC team either. Especially not after the last two weeks.
Hopefully you guys can take some lessons from it and improve.

4 weeks ago had you told me we'd be 1-2 I'd say, yea I can see that but after last week I never would have thought we'd lose this one.

We very well maybe 1-11 at the end of the season

It's an honor to have Brum start the game thread. :D

I said last week that we needed a new punt returner.

I stand corrected.

Purdue 7-0
Bob, you're correction needs a correction.

I have to give props to NIU. Purdue's players became over confident after a good showing on the road last week, and forgot that their talent is only marginally better than the better MAC teams. Lesson learned: never take any opponent lightly.

Makes you wonder why they chose 'ONE' as the team's theme this year.

Your OHB scanning abilities are probably a little out of practice.

Good to see you buddy.

Larra Overton is hot.
She's a former IU cross country runner.
