Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

We sucked this weekend. Our players were not prepared for the game and did not execute. I agree it was all in game preparation and the lack of it, and for that all the blame is on the coaching staff.
did you notice Hopeless wears a whistle around his neck? does he toot it to the drum beat and the 'boiler up' chants????

He now makes Lynch look like Vince Lombardi.
Why the hell are you watching Purdue games anyways?

His whistle is his security blanket I guess................
 In all seriousness, he hasn't been very impressive from what I've seen. I wouldn't judge someone as far as firing this early, but he doesn't strike me as someone that's got a system that's so complex that it just takes time to click.

True but the talent level he has right now is not that great. This team didnt look all the bad the first 2 weeks. Going into Oregon and almost beating them is pretty impressive. Saturdays game was just ugly everyway you look at it.

Good morning UB! I would love to hear your thoughts on Kyle Irving.
Who is this Kyle Irving you speak of?

i think the jury is still out on hope, it's way to soon to judge him. hell, IU (well, greenspan) WAY over-judged billy lynch and gave him a fucking 5 year contract -- so you can see how dangerous it is to judge a coach based on his first year.

plus, hope has a train full of florida boys coming in the future, so let's see how they do before we judge.

the whistle is pretty CYOish (nice catholic reference UB), but every coach probably has some gay habit.

Either Hope will turn things around, or he'll get fired. The last two recruiting classes by Tiller were atrocious. We were a 3-8 team last year with a 4 year starter at QB.

I really don't care if we go 1-11. The program needed change, not because Tiller was not a good coach, but because he lost the energy he had when he first came.

We may need change again, in a few years, if so, so be it. I'd rather go 1-11 this year, than go to a BCS game and give Hope a 10 year contract.............

.......not really.....but close

He is a kid UB was recruiting to be on the same football team as his illegitimate son (his son is the gay kid that won't stop touching all of the other players asses). When asked Kyle said he was once confronted by some creepy dude to play for the worst team in the league but he told him to fuck off.

Just a question, do you know about any of the changes that Hope is making in the program? We have a new offensive and defensive coordinator, and a new QB (one who has been a backup for 4 years, so its not like he inherited talent there).

When the talent that he has recruited is in place, then I think we can judge him.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Agreed. I'm not changing my tune one bit, I still think its a good coaching staff and once the players they recruit start playing full time and the staff has worked for 2-3 years together this will be a good football team.

If not-he is shitcanned along with the rest of the staff, and I am wrong.

His strategy has worked in other places.

Condemning Hope for this season's performance would be about as dumb as praising Chuck Weis for the 2005 season.

I've caught a couple Purdue games this year, and that's about it. I'm sure he'll improve with some new recruits, but wasn't he at Purdue last year to get a jump on the transition?
