Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I feel bad for the defense. They only really gave up one scoring drive the whole game.
Yeah, but at the same time they have got to force a field goal in at least 1 or 2 of those situations. If they do it in just 1 then it's a TD and FG game instead of 2 TDs.
Giving up TDs on a 30 or less yard field is not the defense's fault.

This is squarely on the special teams and offensive miscues. Again.
I'll play devil's advocate. It's not the defenses fault, but you they still have to make some plays. Not every offense scores a TD just because they get great field position. The D has to step up and make a stand in just 1 of those situations. Just because the offense is starting at Purdue's 30 isn't an excuse to lay down and let them score every time.

Ok im tired of the play calling 4th and 3 and we run a fucking handoff from the shotgun formation? Are you fucking kidding me? I know this isn't winnable now but damn guys they've been in the backfield every run play that drive what made them think we could pick up a long 3 on fourth down?
But the dipshit color guy says Nord is doing a great job with the play calling.

I guess he knows more than we do.
I actually think he does a good job calling plays until its 3rd and long or in this situation 4th and 3. We run the WR screen or the hb in the flat every time we get put in 3rd and long. I'm starting to think Elliot can't throw the ball more than 10 yards down field.
He can't. We were 3 for 3 on 3rd and long on the first drive, all on very good play calling. Execution as sucked since, including the wide open throw Elliot missed on the first possession of the second half.
Got it. If they make it, it's good play calling. If they don't, it's lack of execution.

Didn't watch the game - was on the highway.

Why the FUCK is the University paying a guy like JB Gibbony to absolutely destroy its own football team?

Did you see some of the poor throws that were made? The playcalling wasn't perfect, but I guarantee that on 3rd and long, the play call was not for a dump off to the RB. Thats the check down that the QB made because nobody else was open.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

So your definition of good play calling is one that sends some receivers long on third and long? Seems like a pretty low bar.
