Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I said it when the trade went down....Kyle Orton had a pretty good shot to have a better rating than Cutler this year. Denver has a nice offensive scheme and a good set of receivers while the Bears receivers are sub par. Orton's only INT came on a hail mary to end the half today.

Orton's hitting on 60+ percent of his passes, about 7 1/2 yards per pass, 7/1 TD ratio, and a ratio of 97.5. Cutler has rebounded nicely since the opener in Green Bay to get his rating up to 89.
Cutler has a 107.8 rating since the start of the 3rd quarter in Greenbay. That 1st half killed him. He also is the first QB since Jim Mcmahon 84' or 85' to have 3 straight 100+ passer rating games for the Bears.

hell of a game. he's looking GREAT. eddie royal is a big part of that. denver is looking good...a very scrappy team, but they have weapons and energy.

that INT for orton shouldn't even count given it was on a hailmary to end the half.

br
Eddie Royal wasn't a big part of anything before today.
Umm...WHAT? 91 catches as a rookie wasn't big? He had a better game in the first game he ever played in (9 catches for 146 yards).

He ended last year with 91 catches for 980 yards, carried the ball 11 times for 109 yards, and returned 23 kickoffs for a 26 yard average. If he hadn't missed a game, he would have been a 1000+ yard rookie reciever and would have had an outside shot at 100 receptions.

Yes, he has played well since then (although he did throw a pretty big interception in the second half of the Green Bay game). But he'll have his streaks where he'll force things and he'll most likely throw some picks in bunches. It's been his MO.

And even with the great play over the past three and half games, Orton has a higher rating. Good receivers go a long way.

Any thoughts on the Bears going after T.O. as it has been rumored that they might be? They could use help at the WR position, but what TO has done this year from when I've seen him hasn't been real good....could be a change like Braylon Edwards had could jump start him, but from a character standpoint, just not sure.

i agree with Brum. you know its not because of the coaching change. Denver has a great offensive system and Orton has a chance to flourish in it. chicago is dreadful in the pass game and cutler was a fool to leave denver for chicago. cutler will make chicago better, and denver will make orton better. i think cutlers the better QB, but denvers system will help orton develop nicely and inadvertently improve his game.

As much as I want a top WR, I do not want TO on the Bears. His track record speaks for itself, he cares to much about himself and not the team. Could you imagine TO and Jay Cutlers personalities in the same locker room?

TO should hang it up. the only team i could see being stupid enough to go for him is either an NFC cellar team or Bill Bellicheat trying to purchase another championship.

Bill Bellicheat trying to purchase another championship.
Purchase another championship? Please explain. You do know that there is a salary cap in the NFL?
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

TO hasn't looked like an elite receiver at all this year. It's partly his team, but I've seen him drop a ton of easy passes.

Not trying to revive the thread....but Bob, what do you think of Eddie Royal now? Two returns to the house in the first half tonight, 93 yard kickoff and 71 yard punt. He's been Denver's offense so far.

My fantasy team is very, very happy.
