Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

This thread is like UB cloned himself and is arguing in the mirror. Weird.

...and no mention of the felony assault caught on video, eh? Good idea.
felony assault?

when and where were the charges filed?

if not, there's no felony dipshit

:owned:
So then Calipari is not a cheater, and neither was Wooden.

Can't have it both ways
huge difference between being the head coach and having responsibility for the entire program and what happens in one's personal life.

if that was the case: Cheaty would have been convicted of beastiality and given life in prison
Konvict's assault of his players during team practice was part of his personal life?

Wow. Just wow.

let's see: a bitter turdue fan infers knight assaulting a kid even though the kid never pressed charges nor did police.

Upon further review, the NCAA suspended Jackson for the first real game, for some random rule he broke. Painter only suspended him the two meaningless games.
i have to say, that pretty lenient.

Does seem kind of lenient. Not sure what else could be done though. I mean you aren't going to let him play the whole 1st half of the year and then let him serve his suspension during the Big Ten season. That just seems weird.

looking on the outside its probably a tad lenient, but i don't know the inside situation. i trust that painter knows how to punish his players for stupidity, and i realize that there's no way that he actually got off that easy. I promise that if he hasn't already, lewis jackson will be running suicides until he pukes quite often.

Painter's stated before that the community service LewJack had to do had to be done in West Lafayette with some drunken driving focus and the there would be in-house punishments as well as suspensions. I agree, the suspension is a token punishment, but I think BTown's right and there's plenty more going on in practice.

The thing that worries me more than him drinking and smoking pot is that he was in ILL on a Tuesday night during school. :banghead:

Kids make mistakes. You hope they learn. If he repeats his offense, he'll be off the team.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Or he'll be redshirted ala Crump.

Or he'll be redshirted ala Crump.
Or kicked off the team ala Gordon Watt.

So because it was Konvict's 'personal life' (team practice) it's no big deal. I guess you should say the same about Jackson's arrest.

And now since no charges were filed against Konvict for assaulting Reid (on video nonetheless), it never even happened.

I thought D-Wade had the quickest spin move. I was wrong.

One thing we can bet on: if Jackson gets in trouble with the law again (even for spitting on a sidewalk), he will be booted.

I highly doubt it. Porkchop's role model is Huggy Bear.

funny or just coincidental they are playing them this year? Porkchop wants to learn more up close and personal
