Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

So the questions over the Wooden Tradition are answered. Ball State will be the matchup in Indy, and Purdue will host Buffalo in place of the original Ball State game. Pretty non-marquee unfortunately. We better hope Tennessee makes the finals of the Paradise Jams tournament to give a boost to our non-conference schedule.

Yuck.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Would have been nice to play a good team but not that big of deal really. The big 10 is strong enough to get your wins to help your seeding, plus most of seeding is based on how you were playing at the end of the year anyway.

True, but this team has had a big problem with winning big games in the first half of the season, and I think that directly effects our tournament play at the end of the season. I don't think we've drastically underachieved in the tournament given our matchups, but we've also not overachieved at all. I'd like to see us start out strong against good opposition instead of losing every marquee matchup before January.

True, lets just hope that was because we were really young against Xavier, were overmatched against UCONN and still pretty young last year.

Those reasons are why I don't feel too bad about it in the past, but those where both winnable games (as was the Florida game, honestly, the year before) and we weren't able to pull any of them out. I think that the lack of wins in big non-conference games plays a part in that.

Don't remember and I'm too lazy to look it up. I don't think it was anyone impressive off the top of my head.

i love how the wooden seating is clearly highlighted and scanned.

you guys should play Indiana University of Pennsylvania too. haha. I can honestly say I've never heard of California of Pennsylvania.

Bama and WFU are no doubt the two marquee match ups.

We could kinda see this coming. Practice officially starts today. It's time to get someone in that spot.

The Boilermakers' first-ever meeting with UB will be held at 5 p.m. ET and air on the Big Ten Network, as originally scheduled for Dec. 5.

I'll be favored.

"Moving the Ball State game to the Wooden Tradition is exciting because it will provide fans with the opportunity to see a clash of two in-state teams in a top-notch facility in the state capital," Porkchop said

What's he supposed to say, "Fuck the Wooden tradition - they promised a marquee matchup and we ended up with Ball fucking State"

I'm sure Painter isn't thrilled with it any more than the fans are.

he's estatic - he can fatten up his record against these cupcakes and delude you HOMERS into thinking he's the messiah.

for a supposed top 10 team and final four lock, he seems to have absolutely no confidence in his team to perform.

Wake Forest? no good
Alabama? decimated - no good
West Virgina - acceptable but at home

I see no other respectable team on their schedule.
