Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

This is a really bad argument. But congrats on your football win today guys.

They said on BTN that this will be Purdue's first win since 2004 against a team that finishes the season with a winning record. The guy was stammering and saying BCS team, but I took this to mean FBS. Is this true? It doesn't seem like it is accurate, but I don't want to do the research.
That may be true with teams from the Big Ten/Big Conference teams. If you count the MAC I know Central Michigan finished with a winning record in 2007 and we beat them twice.

OK so they did mean BCS teams...pretty obscure stat. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yeah. It really just means we haven't had a decent win in 4 years. We just beat up on the MAC schools and the bottom of the Big Ten.

I thought it was a losing streak with top 25 teams, but I could be wrong.

We've won a bowl game since then, so I'm guessing no. It has to be a BCS conference team. We beat CMU twice in '07 and they finished with a winning record.

Edit: And I missed page 2.

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I can't believe the statement is true. Going to check it.

From what I saw, it is true that no non-BCS team they've beaten since 2004 had a winning record at the end of the season.

While other teams are doing intros and dunk contests, we're working on stuff that will help us win games. Its good for the fans, and not a bad thing at all, but I'm not too upset about it.

Also, didn't realize that Bade was already up to 235 and that Marcius is 250. At least we'll be bigger on the front line this year.
spin away.
