Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Loved your "closing the gap" comment. epic man.

Notre Dame with a Jr, three year starter, with 3 Weis recruiting classes is "closing the gap" with a rebuilding USC team that lost to Washington, with a freshman QB.

EPIC

The closest Dough-mer has ever come to beating USC was during his first year in Gomerland...with Ty's players.

the golden homers are only fun to hate because of their fans (minus hog), and fatboy weis. honestly, it was much harder to hate them with a respectable man like tyrone willingham at the helm.

USC doesn't rebuild, they reload. They still have as much, if not more, talent than any team in the nation. ND playing with them for 60 minutes is a pretty solid effort.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

When owned, point out typos.

And even teams that "reload" can also "rebuild." USC has had better recruiting classes than ND sure. But the key difference here is coaching. Weis has had what? 3 consectutive top-10 classes. None have made the jump to the NFL yet. Carroll loses a ton to the NFL practically every year and freshman come in and plug holes. If ND wanted to even start to compare itself with the other big boys, this was a must win game.

That was Ohio State's ranking coming into Purdue.

So USC coming in at #5 'couldn't be down,' yet the argument will now be that Ohio State is down because they lost to Purdue.

Again, the difference is that Purdue finished the deal, and Notre Dame didn't.

lol, ah, i gotcha.

USC is gonna be high praise whether they are down or not. And outside of Oregon, no one in the Pac-10 is really all that good outside of USC.
