Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Highlights:

"Weis is 1-15 against teams that finished the season with a winning record. And he's 1-9 against teams that finished ranked. If Notre Dame were in the Big Ten, it would be ... Minnesota? "

"As for ND and Weis? Well, they'll keep on fighting. They still can finish 10-2. The remaining opponents are Boston College, Washington State, Navy, Pitt, Connecticut and Stanford. None of those teams was ranked last week.

Don't be impressed if ND wins them all.

But these fighters appear headed for the Gator Bowl. "

I appreciate "solely for Iwish" caveat, but if you don't mind i would like to add something - just to stimulate conversation.

First, i have never seen Deinhart say anything positive about ND, so take that for what its worth. Second, i not sure what the deal with this phrase is - "none of those teams were ranked last week." How about what those teams are ranked at the end of the year? Perhaps that should be the basis for judgement. He is right though, none of those teams were ranked last week - of course this week, Pitt is 5-1 and ranked 20th. BC is 5-2 and considering their remaining schedule ould easily finish 9-3.
That is not to say that these guys are murders row, but if ND goes 10-2 , then how would that be any different say Penn State losing to Ohio State and ending up 10-2 on the season? I woul bet that if Penn State ends up at 10-2, they would play in a pretty good bowl game, and there probably wouldn't be anyone questioning whether they were a good/decent team.

At 10-2, I seriously doubt that Penn State would get a BCS bid...and they shouldn't.

What people are tired of is ND getting put into bowl games that they don't deserve...and the results have shown that. Last year was the first time in who knows how long that they were where they should be....and their record dictated that.

Honestly, I don't see them winning the rest. Pitt has a shot at winning the Big East and BC has righted the ship.

I am not saying that Penn State would or should get a BCS bowl bid either. Neither am i advocating Nd getting a BCS bid. Even at 10-2, i don't think they would deserve it.

My point is simply that there are a lot of ND haters, that even they did finish 10-2 (which i don't think they will) that would still talk crap, and give them no respect, even though a team from a BCS conference with the same record and a comparable schedule wouldn't get the same smack talk.

You can cry all you want about "ND haters," they only exist because MOST of the college football world sucks NDs cock no matter how bad they are.

They still go to the best possible bowl game based on their record, if they went 10-2, you bet ur ass they'd be in the BCS.

Well, speaking for Pixie, I think the Willingham excuses should remain valid for another five years...since the Gomers are "closing the gap".

Actually, in fairness, I should point out that this figure is not correct. Off the top of my head, I remember the '05 Michigan team finishing 7-5 and the '06 Purdue team finishing 8-6. Chuck beat those teams courtesy of Willingham's players.

Granted Dough-mer has a piss-poor record vs. winning teams, but not quite that bad.
