Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I'm kinda shocked that Painter didn't even offer Burgett, or other 2012 kids yet........other than Yogi (who i thought we were very strong with), i hope he's as good as Painter thinks.

congrats on the pickup -- sounds like he could be a solid player with some good coaching.

from Scout for you guysL

October, 2009: Kyle is a solid and strong point guard. He has an excellent basketball IQ. He is a natural pass first point guard but has really improved his ability to score in the last year. He has a solid and strong body and is good at getting in the lane and creating for himself and others. He has an improving jump shot with range to 19 feet. He is a good defender with good quickness. Molock is a good athlete and still has a very good upside. He is a good get for Coach Painter and the Boilermakers as they go into Ohio and pull out one of their best sophomores.

As much as I hate to admit it, a guard with range out to 19 feet is kind of weak, at least as it stands now. I guess LewJack didn't really have a long range game either (supposively) I did alright in that category.

Well, that gives him something to work on. Every 15-16 year old kid does. I'm anxious to hear stuff about him next spring/summer on the AAU circuit.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

He is only a sophomore. He can develop a shot and improve his ball handling. Painter see's something in him or would not offer this far out. I fell confident he will work out.

I agree Btown!!

That is the difference between UB and Iwish. Ub is predictable but has a funny comment every once in awhile. Iwish is just a moron.

Oh yeah, and that scrub with only offers from Purdue, Butler, and IUPUI is Gordon Hayward.
who?

The player who plays for Butler and would be far and away the best player on IU's roster this year.
Considering that he's very similar to Hummel, hard to say that you couldn't say the same about him on Purdue.

He wouldn't be far and away the best player on the team. He'd be in the discussion with JJ/Hummel/Moore.

Just saying it's not like he's some nobody. The guy would be the lead player on most NCAA div 1 teams this year.

I can honestly say I wouldn't suck Gordon Hayward's dick to get him to play at IU.

I'd clearly just hire a member of my mafia to do it for me. duh.

Did I say he was a nobody?

He's a very good somebody, who had offers from Purdue/Butler/IUPUI. The offer list isn't always a great indication, especially for a player who didn't play AAU basketball prior to his senior year.
