Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

But may be bigger for recruiting. Three FL HS teammates were on campus this weekend, and they all had a lot of positives to say and all 3 talked about the possibility of committing. Its 4* WR OJ Ross, 3* DB Ricardo Allen, and unranked WR Chevin Davis. Here's the GBI article. The quotes seem pretty telling to me.

Weekend official visits to West Lafayette gave highly recruited Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland teammates Ricardo Allen, Chevin Davis and O.J. Ross a lot to think about.

Davis, a wide receiver, said Sunday night he "thought about" committing to the Boilermakers while on campus for their stunning upset of seventh-ranked Ohio State.

Monday night, Allen and Ross chimed in similarly.

Allen, a Rivals.com three-star cornerback with about 20 scholarship, went so far as to say he might be done making visits.

"I most likely won't (take any more)," he said. "I just have to talk to my mom about it and if I feel like if it's the one, I'll probably go ahead and commit.

"Probably sometime this week."

Ross, a four-star wide receiver, has narrowed his list to just two schools following his trip.

"Right now, I just have Purdue and North Carolina for my decision," said Ross, who also holds offers from Texas Tech, Kentucky, Rutgers and others. "It's down to those two."

Ross has long planned a late- or post-season official visit to Chapel Hill.

"But I'll probably end up committing before that," Ross said. "I'm really thinking about it, because Purdue really got my interest this weekend."

Both players see early opportunity at Purdue, particularly Allen, who's drawn to a secondary depth chart that will be completely vacated, losing four senior starters, following this season.

"If I go in and learn the system quickly, I'd have a chance to be starting at corner," said Allen, who was hosted by young safeties Ishmael Aristide and Albert Evans, "and if not, then I'd have a chance to start my (redshirt) freshman year.

"I wouldn't mind redshirting, because of my size, not my playing ability. If I do get redshirted, I think it would just be because of my size, not because I'd be backing somebody up or something."

Allen said he got along well with Purdue's players during his visit.

"It looked like the players enjoyed practicing," Allen said. "When I've been to other (schools), some of the players were stuck-up, but everybody there was real cool. I'm real cool with all of them already, and that's something I want. I know that if I go in there as a freshman, they already like me."

Ross, hosted by freshman corner Josh Johnson, said he enjoyed talking with Purdue's coaches.

"I really like Coach (Brian) Rock, Coach (Gary) Nord and Coach (Danny) Hope," Ross said, "and the guys on the football team were all pretty cool.

"The coaches talked about getting to play early and how wonderful (the school) is and how nice everybody is and how much focus they put on their players."

Davis said he expects to decide between Purdue and Mississippi.

By the sound of it, the Boilermakers have a shot to sign all three teammates.

"We're all thinking about coming," Ross said.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

This has the potential to be another pretty good class. IF we could land these 3 guys, and i read where Dyquan Lewis a 4* WR has narrowed his list to 3.

I would like to see us pick up some O-line men. We are graduation 3 this year and could use the depth.

Possibly the biggest win since the OSU win in 2000.

Not nearly as much at stake this time, though.
