Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Purdue all over Illinois at 21-7. I can understand Bolden looking like Walter Payton against the Illini, but not Not Joey Elliot.

My next door neighbor teaches elementary school and on Wednesday she started with 22 students in her class..by the end of the day, because of all of the students who had puked or ran high temps, she was down to 5. (I'm not exaggerating)

Defense has stepped up after the first drive, but the offense has wasted some big gains.

No turnovers=good game (no dessert either.)

Great rushing attack, defense looked good for the most part. Should have had a few picks made but overall a good showing. Need to work on sideline to sideline containment a little more and the tackling in space is still not great by Williams and a few of the linebackers.

Joey looked great. Bolden is a f'ing animal. I can't wait to see that kid the next 2 years! Overall a good gameplan and execution.

On to next week

Ran the ball well again and didn't turn it over. We'll win a lot of games under Hope if we do that. TOs are as important as anything else to this team. Without a large amount of those, we'd be a 1 or 2 loss team.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I like the fact that we can be effective on offense in different ways.
Last week we knew we werent gonna have any success running the ball and were move the ball threw the air.
This week Ill has the worst run D in the big 10 and we were able to take advantage of it.

I was disappointed with our offense's inability to score more than three points in the second half. Two reasons:

1) Offense unable to capitalize on big gains,
2) Poor special teams play forced the offense to go 80+ yards on each drive

The good news is that our defense looked good after UI's first scoring drive. And the offense took care of the ball.
