Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I'd bet a large amount of money that he didn't pull the scholarship offer. That would be a PR nightmare for IU's recruiting in the South and specifically the Atlanta Celtics AAU program.
You're right, so instead of saying 'I found a better player and have decided to withdraw our offer'.....Crean tells him 'I've been watching our kids play and I don't think you are going to get the kind of minutes you might get somewhere else'...........both get the same result.

Stay tuned, this pattern with Crean will keep repeating itself until he changes the way he goes about handing out scholarship offers.

Nothing has changed since Williams has committed with regards to his playing time. You are pretty much just making up your own little story to fit your own opinion. Williams knew who was coming in in front him and knew the situation.

Do you think his former AAU coach (McLeod) would have a hand in something like this? Do you understand the hit to IU's reputation that that would create?
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I know nothing has changed in regards to his playing time.............but that doesn't mean Crean couldn't use that as an excuse to convince him to go elsewhere. But if you guys think he might open up his recruiting because he really wants to go to some middle of the pack SEC school, have at it.

Players rush into commitments. It happens all the time. Its possible that that is the situation. I don't understand why its hard for you to believe that to be a possibility.

If Crean really is either a ) taking his scholarship away or b ) playing the no playing time card now, I guarantee that will come out in interviews with Williams and his family.

So he had to call Crean...........who then went and saw him play 1 time in person........and was immediately told he was a good fit for the program? Jesus, I need to write a book.
Try reading one first.

Clever, explain to me again how sacks absolutely tell you whether or not an NFL team is getting pressure on the QB.............which book did you find that one in?
