The Drunken Master

I'm hoping he will get PT. He is our PG of the future. That said, he will be riding the pine a lot. Blake is starting now (shoot me) and Miller will get his fair share of minutes and I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up starting soon. This team really almost has too much young talent. There are not enough minutes to go around. You also have to find minutes for Rudy Fernandez and Sergio Rodriguez at guard. And you also have to split time between Martell Webster, Travis Outlaw, and Nicolas Batum. I believe the Blazers have the talent to be the West's #2 seed, but I could see them being a #4 or #5 again. |

Go Tebow!

EJ looking good so far tonight. A couple ill advised shots IMO, but he's definitely going to be a stud. 12 points so far, and even though he's undersized for a two guard, he looks very explosive. And he had a shot roll around the rim earlier that showed what a shooting touch he has. With those long arms, he gets his hands on a lot of balls defensively. He really broke out during the 2nd half of last year, and I think it's going to continue. Especially with their lack of depth in the backcourt, I expect him to get a ton of minutes this year and average 20+ points per game! Lastly, it's nice to be able to watch him play a game. They weren't nationally televised hardly at all last year, so it's awesome to watch him actually play live instead of looking at boxscores. Keep it up Hobbit :) |

lol Hobbit has a scoring ability with his "short" size.. and his defensive presence is felt. He's a talented player, no doubt about it. Unlike Sebastian Telfair, and the other idiots that ditched college and went pro, he's actually one of the few that are mature enough as a player to make the transition rather easily. Jordan from Texas A&M could have used more college experience IMO, as he failed to show me ANYTHING impressive tonight. This Clippers team isn't mentally able to play the style they do IMO. The slow ball, orthodox way just seems out of place with them? Baron Davis is either extremely bothered by his injury, or else he's severely overrated and full of himself. Glad to see Marcus Camby in his 13th season still showing up to play. He's one that finally matured through the years.. That is all, from what I saw. Edited by tAmazingHoosier, Oct 28 2009, 12:32 AM.

The top 5? Don't set your goals too lofty. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

They need to let him play more. He was one of the top 3 or 4 talents of that draft. Without playing, its pretty much a waste of a player. The only positive, is that they ripped off the Pacers for two completely average players for an ultra-talented player, that if they waste, they don't lose much. Jack and Rush were going to be worthless to the Blazers (and most other NBA teams). Bayless could (and still may be) a huge coup. |

The guy picked last in gym class
|
Bayless is still really young and has a nice upside...but let's not disguise the fact that he had a really, REALLY, bad year last year. From the opening game, it looks like he's still third on the depth chart at PG. |

The Pacers may give up 100 points in every game they play this year. |

Maybe the best part of the NBA season is that CBB is right around the corner. |
