ITH just posted this article on Twitter. According to his mother, Baylor has been eliminated and the remaining schools (including Indiana) will receive a visit. The visit dates should be finalized soon (possibly this week). I don't know how realistic Selby to IU is, but being in the final 5 and getting a visit from a top prospect can't be a bad thing. http://theshiver.com/2009/10/selby-will-not-make-a-visit-to-baylor/ |

I like that he's visiting. Indiana is the type of school that can make a strong presentation for recruits, especially if we bring out our big guns, which I figure we will for a player like Selby. Should be interesting from here on out. |

I know he and his mother said they will track the progress of each team this year. I can see him attending an IU basketball game and that will be a golden opportunity him to see how basketball crazy our fans are. On a side note. Has anyone heard that Jalen Kendrick is possibly visiting this weekend. I read it on peegs but you know him, he won't post the entire artilce because he wants you to buy his subscription. I figured it is a way for him to try and get people to buy his stuff, if he posts something like that. I haven't heard it from anyone else that Kendrick is visiting this weekend. |

I think we have as good a shot as anyone, but the competition we're up against worries me. I'm not so concerned about Syracuse and Miami, but it will be tough beating out Kansas or Kentucky. |

Yes it would, but it will be very hard to get them. I believe they both will be Spring commitments and they will wait and see how all teams do this next year. IMO, if we don't win at least 50% of our games and go to the NIT, we will not get either one of them. I think they want to play on a team that would be guaranteed to go to the Big Dance and possibly the sweet 16. I think if we go sub .500 again then we won't get either one because they will feel that with either one, they will at best be one and done in the big dance. They want to play on a team that has that potential because they will one and done players. |

It's Jelan Kendrick, not Jalen. |

bad logic two one and done's on the same team would greatly change the team. If they are both NBA level talent that will only play for one year then those two pieces with your Fresh class as Sophs would be a potential Sweet 16 team. |

Well, he'll have his fingerprints all over the Selby recruitment. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Yes most likely, but I think they will evaluate what school they will go to on the potential for post season success. I don't think they will commit to IU because of that reason. But we are still in the running and stranger things have happen. |

Yeah.. they would greatly improve a team, but the problem is that one has to decide first without knowing forsure whether the other one will. |

I'd be very surprised if Jelan Kendrick was a one and done player. I'm thinking Selby goes to KU/UK and Kendrick goes to Memphis. |
