Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Looks like we'll have to watch sub-par coaching until 2012...

I like how Fred Glass mentions honoring contracts again, like it should be. But he wasn't the one that negotiated his contract in the first place. That was the spawn of satan Greenspans working.

Already 10+ people have commented saying they're season ticket holders for "x" amount of years, and aren't going to be any longer.

Way to rebuild the stadium, and no take any actions to help get it filled up.

co sign. I think Glass needs to be thoroughly scrutinized. This is unacceptable and tells me the guy doesn't know shit about sports. and these assholes wonder why they can't get a decent crowd - how about trotting out a product that doesn't blow a 28-3 lead to a bunch of 1400 Sat nerds. I thought Glass would be a difference maker - guess not, he's just a status quo beauracrat that ran for election just to feed his ego. fuck that god forsaken mother fucker and his dumb as a stump head coach.

and I just got off the phone with terry bowden....

The football program shouldn't suffer anymore because of a lack of 'honor' amongst the basketball team's coaching contracts. The football team shouldn't be thrown under the bus simply because the University wants to 'save face'.

Plus, I'm sure Lynch had some pre-set criteria that his contract hinged upon and I cannot imagine he has yet to meet that criteria. Unless, IU's football standards really are that low.

Keeping Lynch on does nothing but squander the small bit of momentum the program had after their bowl appearance. The man is obviously not ready to coach at the Division I level and should go back to an assistants role.

I've only had one beer and I'm agreeing with a Purdue fan....

Seriously, if they want to start 'honoring' contracts than start with new ones and make them realistic. I'm sick of AD's giving coaches contracts they don't deserve with the logic that if the coaching position seems settled, then it will help with recruiting. Lynch didn't deserve his contract, and Crean really hasn't deserved his ridiculous contract length either. Crean should be on maybe a 4-year contract at this point based on previous work, and Lynch should be year to year.

Doubt he would have walked away from Marquette for a 3-4 year deal. Coaches are in it for the business too.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel
