Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,

Wisconsin is the better team, but I'd stop short of saying this game is unwinnable. My thought here though is that while we've been improving we will see some regression this week. We'll probably have a number of turnovers and blown opportunities.

Purdue 24
Wisconsin 31

A great game to watch this weekend will be USC at Oregon... I think Oregon will have a solid win: Oregon 31, USC 17.

Predictor says:

USC AT Oregon: 17-11
Washington State AT Notre Dame: 8-38

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Big 10
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michigan AT Illinois: 29-10
Indiana AT Iowa: 8-25
Michigan State AT Minnesota: 16-17
New Mexico State AT Ohio State: 5-27
Penn State AT Northwestern: 27-7
Purdue AT Wisconsin: 18-27

Key is Purdue's front 7. If they can control the line like they did against OSU, this is definitely a winnable game. But UW has a pretty damn good line and a good RB (probably the best running game we've seen yet).

I think we'll compete but UW ends up winning by a TD or so.

We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

I'd like to be pleasantly surprised with a road win however. This game is winnable-just depends on which team shows up.

The first 5 game team? Or, the vs OSU team (tough, but 3 turnovers) + the vs Illini team (no turnovers)= tough play with no turnovers. If its the prior, we lose, latter we win.

Purdue is getting 6 and a half.

Do you think they beat the spread?

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed
