Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Worst Case: 23-6
Best Case: 27-2

So I'll split the difference and go with 25-4 regular season, 2-1 BTT tournament, and 3-1 NCAA tournament for 30-6.

I don't feel comfortable predicting a FF at this point, but I think we're definitely one of the 10-15 teams with a legit shot at this point.
I think there's a difference between predicting a final four and expecting one. The tourney is so tough that I don't think any team in the country can expect a FF. That said, I don't think there's anything wrong with going out on a limb and predicting one though. It's more of a hope than an expectation.

Jackpot.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Oh yeah, just another bump to rub it in.

8 pages of being abused sure feels good when I'm right.

Here is to the entire bracket collapsing in front of us, somehow sneaking into the final four, and you being wrong on the 3-1 NCAA prediction.

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

What do you think Purdue's record would have been if Hummel got injured in the 1st game of the season?

Turns out I was wrong in this thread as well. I said Hummel wouldn't deal with any significant injuries.

Probably not very good. What's your point?

Well I'm pretty sure you were getting ribbed for saying 6 losses was worst case scenario. So if you think their record wouldn't have been very good had Hummel been injured earlier in the year, then I guess you are more finally agreeing with everyone that 6 losses was not worst case scenario, than you are proving you were right. Just saying.

Well, having catastrophic, unpredictable injuries as part of your predictions is stupid.

No, calling 23-6 a worst case scenario is stupid.

Two teams in the Big Ten lost their best players for more than half their games and another lost their arguably their most important player for a third of the year. Injuries happen.
