Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Has anyone heard how his visit went last week? I haven't heard anything and usually by now if a guy had a positive visit, we would have heard something on Inside The Hall, Peegs, Scout, etc..

I did notice that Kendrick has trimmed his list down to nine schools and IU is still on that list. I have also heard that he is supposedly excited about his upcoming visit to Alabama. With the schools still on the list, IU has a great shot, better than Irving, to land him. Only UCLA has probably more basketball tradition than IU on that list.

Here are the schools still remaining on his list:

Alabama
Georgetown
Georgia
Georgia Tech
Indiana
Memphis
Miami
Oregon
UCLA

From what I've read, it sounded like it went well. His dad said he probably won't make a decision until the spring.

Side note:

I have a feeling that we're going to get a commitment from this Sheehey kid this weekend.

Can't imagine it would have any impact on Kendrick though.

Who is Sheehey
Will Sheehey: 6'5" wing from Florida. He's visiting this weekend with his dad and coach.

Only things I've read about him say "very heady player, very athletic"

In his blog the other day, Demling said he saw him a bunch this summer and thinks IU fans should be very happy were he to commit.

Can I get a year? I assume he's been offered and so if Evil is right about anything he must be a 2 star.

2010. 3-star. #131 in the Rivals 150.

Though this summer was his first year playing AAU ball, so he's pretty new to the recruiting scene.

Has some decent offers: Georgia Tech, Michigan, Stanford, Washington

I guess the story is that his HS coach contacted Crean and the IU staff. They went down to check him out and gave him an offer before they left.

From the vids I've seen, he looks like a bigger, longer, more athletic Carlino....kind of similar to Etherington actually.

I have seen a couple of Videos on Inside The Hall and he is a very good all around player. Also, somebody stated he is more like 6'7". He is very athletic, can shoot from 3, and a very good passer. Kind of reminds me of Randy Witman in a way. I really liked what I have seen and I was hoping we could possibly land him. I personally don't think David Williams is coming to IU and this will definitely be an upgrade. If we could possibly land Kendrick or Selby, it would be a very good/solid recruiting class.
