The guy picked last in gym class
|
Mr Flopbourough gets to the line 10 times in 14 minutes in his NBA debut. If he keeps that up, I'm glad at least that he's our prick. Not a bad start, 13 points, 5 rebounds in limited duty. Maybe he'll end up being like another player that I absolutely hated when he was playing at Michigan State and when he was on other NBA teams, but when he came to the Pacers I absolutely loved the guy....Scott Skiles. He frustrated the hell out of opponents and nobody played harder than he did. |

If Hansbrough hadn't played at UNC (or Purdue or UK) I would have loved him. The kid plays every game like its his last. Gotta admire that. I'm neutral about the Pacers, so I will probably start cheering for him. |

Hansborough still annoys me... something about those 'I just snorted an 8-ball' eyes that makes me want to punch him in the face. |

Hansbrough is a bad mo fo and will be a very good player by next season... just wait, and if anybody is still hating on him for any reason, like going out of state to play for carolina like zeller, then get over it. He's what little white players we have that can be a star someday. The Pacers got a steal with him on their pick. Hibbert C Hansbrough F Granger F Rush G Ford G pretty decent lineup if you ask me, just need more experience. GO PACERS Edited by InDyKinG, Nov 8 2009, 07:31 PM.

Thats the lineup of a 36-42 win team and a perennial late lottery draft pick. And by getting that late of a pick, we'll always be the same team, year after year, after year. Its honestly time to blow the roster up and start from scratch with Granger as a base. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Oh and by the way, as much as people hate Tyler, he'll probably have a very successful NBA career for 10 years. If he went to IU or Purdue, he'd be absolutely adored by the IU or Purdue fans on this board. He was a great college player. Did he get calls? Of course. But he got plenty of calls for flat out being good and forcing it on people, just like he'll get in the NBA. People who down him and criticize him are pretty damn stupid IMO. |

Hoosier Daddy?!
|
I never criticized Hansbrough. I had nothing but the upmost respect for him in college. The guy wasn't athletically gifted, and nothing he did was pretty. But he made up for that with hard work, perceverance, and a strong will. People just didn't like him because he went to UNC and was so blown up by the media. It's just like Tim Tebow. And I agree that if Psycho-T was a Hoosier, this board would think he was the greatest. |

I'm not sure there is a fan of any team in the country that wouldn't want him on their team. He didn't go to IU and I still think he's the greatest. And I still hate him because of how much the media sucked his dick. Don't confuse what/who people actually dislike when they say they can't stand Tyler Hansbrough. |

So the media "sucked his dick." Why should that make people want to dislike Hansbrough? The media is the one who builds him up. Hansbrough has been a quiet and humble person that hardly puts himself in the spotlight. Blame the media, not Hansbrough. |

This is what I'm saying. people don't actually hate Hansbrough, they hate the media. It's just easier to say, "I hate Hansbrough" than it is, "I hate the media." Hansbrough is a singular entity that is easy to latch onto. The media is some sort of conglomerate thing that you can't touch, can't put a finger on. |
