Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Realistically, we can beat Sparty next weekend. I give us a 60% shot, so let's say we pull it out. IU will probably have an unhappy time in the valley next weekend, so they will be sitting at 4 W's for the Bucket game. Sadly, I only give the Boilers a 30% chance in that game, because IU has a decent team this year (arguably as good as Purdue's), and they will be playing their bowl game (as usual.)

Can someone give me reasons to have more Hope?

We have a home game against a beatable opponent and IU isn't very good. Thats our hope, but unfortunately, we'll probably lose one of the games.

Its been an odd year.

I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

I wouldn't worry about it one way or the other. Before the season started, i don't think that going to a bowl was a realistic expectation, so if you go that is great, if not, no big loss.

LOL, if we beat mich and OSU and lose to IU and NIU, it's officially the most insane Purdue season EVER.

Is the IU-PU game on an ESPN affiliate as usual or is it a BTN game?

I hope the BTN. I don't want the rest of the country to have to witness the terribleness that should ensue.

C'mon now, i actually think both teams are a little better this year than expected.
The bad thing is with how inconsistent both teams are, it could be a competitive and fun to watch game, or it could be an complete clusterfuck.

It'll more than likely be an interesting game. I just don't know how well played it will be.

IU has performed pretty much as expected IMO. Purdue has been so up and down, its tough to figure out who they really are. Are they team that dominated OSU or the team that stayed at home against UW? The team that gave away games to Oregon and NIU, or the team that pulled out a game at UM?

I would give us about a 30% chance of making a bowl at this point. MSU is a game we should win. The IU game will be very interesting. Will the players quit on Lynch again this year?

Dude-lets see. We lost to NIU, and got BLOWN out by Wisky. But, we beat OSU and Michigan in the same year?????? Hard to tell with this team honestly. The team I saw today was the team I want to see every Saturday, but not sure if I will get to or not. Not sure who will show up anymore

I felt like if we beat eaither Wisconsin or Mich we would go to a bowl and I stand by that. I think at home we find a way to beat MSU. And with this team having a shot at going to a bowl no way we lose at IU. If we lose the MSU game then i belive the IU game is a toss-up.

If somehow we do win our last 2 we should get a pretty decent bowl game considering we would be 5-3 in conference. Isnt that how they decide which bowl game you go to by your standing in the conference?

That's supposed to be the primary factor, but money always talks.

Since our fanbase travels fairly well to bowl games, I don't think we would get shafted for financial reasons.

Thanks, Vision, I started a new job in Aug, and the last couple of months have flown by. I've stopped by a couple of times and always see the typical ownage of UB, which is always amusing.

I think your 30% assessment is pretty reasonable, which is a great chance considering where we were before the O$U win.

This team has been pretty fun to watch, and you can tell the players are more motivated than the last few seasons. I'm optimistic about the future.

That can choose a team below another in the standings so long as they aren't more than one game behind them in the standings...I think.
