Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

This guy man not be the greatest coach in the world but with the season coming to an end there is not a doubt in my mind that this guy was the right man for the job. One thing this program needed more than anything was energy and this guy brings that. This team lost more starters then any other team in the big 10 yet we have a decent shot at going to a bowl game. Minus the Wisconsin game this team has had a shot to win every game they've played they just made some dumb mistakes on offense which is to be expected when you return 0 skill players on offense. This team lost 4 games in a row and could have easily folded and thrown the season away but they havent. I give a ton of credit to Hope for that. He has done a good job recruiting considering Purdue had been on the way down the past 3 or 4 years and he is getting a ton of kids from Fl which IMO is a huge plus for a team that runs a spread offense. If Purdue can somehow find a way to win these last 2 games Danny Hope is the Big 10 coach of the year.

Here is Hope and the bright future for the Boilermaker football program.

Actually, we lost five games in a row after the Toledo win. Since then, Hope has brought us:

- Our first win over a ranked opponent in six years
- Our first win at Michigan in 43 years
- Our first road win (against anybody) in 11 tries
- Three times more B10 wins than Krispy Krene
- Remote shot at postseason

As I've said all along, it's never fair to judge a coach based on his first season. But as far as Hope's coaching goes, I have no complaints at all thus far. Losing all your skill players from a 4-8 team makes all of these things very difficult for any coach.
