Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Okay, I know that this belongs in the other sports page...but thought this one deserved attention.

Pictures of Sammy Sosa during his career and one from the recent Latin grammies....no, I'm not talking about steriods (unless this is an after affect):

Haha, that's the first thing that came to my mind. Does Sosa have the same skin condition?

I am sure part of that is the flash and/or lighting. Also some of it could be that he just isn't out in the sun as much anymore - black people do get tans too.

It's not a flash/lighting issue. Here's the full shot of each picture where he is standing next to his wife....his skin tone doesn't change.

http://www.examiner.com/x-264-Celebrity-News-Examiner~y2009m11d7-Sammy-Sosa-is-white-as-a-ghost--does-he-have-Michael-Jacksons-skin-disease

You'll also notice that there is an incredible change in his skin color but not the color of his lips.

A former Cubs employee, Rebecca Polihornis, who speaks to Sosa often, said that Sosa had said that he was going through a skin 'rejuvenation' process. Very strange.

There's this girl I always see around campus with very blotchy skin. I both feel sorry for her and grossed out at the same time.

My sister actually has vitiligo. It gets really noticable in the summer when she has a tan.

I have it as well, though it isn't nearly as bad as some people i have seen with it. The patches i have are mostly on the underside of my forearms and on my legs and they aren't too noticeable except for in the summertime once i get a good tan going.

My sister's started out like that, but it is very noticable now (she's 40). It has spread to her lower face now and her arms and hands look really bad in the summer.

Well i am 29 and mine hasn't gotten worse since i was about 14 thankfully. If it does though it does. I'm not too worried about it. I hope your sister isn't too bothered by hers. I am sure it would bother a lot of women to have it that bad.
