Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

What makes you believe that Robinson didn't develop like Painter wanted? Thats what people keep hanging their hat on, and thats something that also is false. The guy was the second leading rebounder at the NBPA top 100 camp in the summer before his senior season. He was also a 15-20 point, 7-9 rebound, and 1-2 block type guy for his AAU team all summer long. He didn't play much at LN because the roster was stacked with what are probably better players, not because he wasn't any good. He was never recruited for his production at LN.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Oh well, people will continue to believe what they want because it makes them feel better. Its sort of sad really.
Like that Kyrie Irving didn't choose IU because he was unimpressed with Tom Crean? So do you feel better?

Was IU not in the thick of things before the in-home visit? Did IU not get dropped after the in-home visit? Coincidence?

I feel just the same actually. If IU got Irving or not, I would have felt no different. I actually thought IU had a good chance for awhile there.

And I see you ignored the previous post. Interesting. People have been hanging on to the "Jeff Robinson didn't develop" card this entire time, and its absolutely ridiculous.

So you can believe your Irving theory with no proof because it's your opinion, but my opinion on Jeff Robinson is sad because there's no proof.

Got it.

What don't you understand? I can't tell you why Robinson wasn't accepted into Purdue because I don't know. I believe grades were part of the issue. I believe his performance during his senior year was part of the issue. Beyond that I can't say much.

I can't tell you why Irving chose Duke over Indiana because I don't know. I believe he may have been unimpressed with Tom Crean. I believe he may have been impressed with Crean and was simply more impressed with Duke. I believe some negative recruiting went on.

What's amazing to me is that you know what happened in both situations. In the first situation you know that Robinson wasn't selected due to grades because you have a quote to the media. In the 2nd situation you know Iriving was unimpressed with Crean and felt he couldn't win at IU because of the coincidence that IU was in the thick of it and then didn't get Irving.

Sometimes I wonder why you even bother to grace all of our sad opinions with your limitless knowledge.
