Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I'm surprised no one has started one up....if Purdue were to beat Michigan State and Indiana, they'd likely be in a bowl which IMO would be huge for Hope's first year, especially after the start of the season.

Officially, Michigan State is a one point favorite in the Vegas line from earlier this morning.

I simply don't know about this one. My gut says it's a high scoring game...I think it's close, but home field prevails.

I got a feeling these Seniors are goin out winners. The way they've turned this season around i dont think they let this bowl chance slip away.

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

I've been a bit negative all season when it comes to predictions (I think I've only favored us in 2 games)... but I have a good feeling about this week and senior day.

Homer alert:

Purdue 31
MSU 21
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Aaah yes because predicting a win at home against a 5-5 team is completely ludicrous.

by double digits - yes

especially when you're a 3 pt DOG at HOME

vegas is basically saying, MSU is at least a touchdown better than turdue yet you homers are predicting a double digit win

On paper both teams are pretty similar but Purdue's schedule is tougher. Substitute Western Michigan for Oregon and I'd say we'd be 5-5 too right now.

That said, I have not been happy about the Purdue teams that have shown up to games like this. My thought is that this should be a win but we won't win.

MSU 41 Purdue 38

Predictor says:

Notre Dame AT Pittsburgh: 14-28

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Big 10
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Northwestern AT Illinois: 15-18
Indiana AT Penn State: 7-29
Iowa AT Ohio State: 7-20
Michigan AT Wisconsin: 16-32
Michigan State AT Purdue: 25-17

For some reason I have a very confident feeling we lose this game.

Regardless...

Purdue - 33
MSU - 20

UB, if it's a homer thread then make your 'unbiased' prediction. If not, you're just sniping from the sidelines....you get to call them 'homers' for picking them regardless of whether or not they win. Shit or get off the pot.
