Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I don't think Matt is very happy with the play in the second half.

I was hoping to see a team that didn't rely so much on the three. At least for this game, that's not the case.

Byrd has got some serious range, but he's not showing me much else.

Sorry BG, but the Xman didn't have a great night. Not sure he made an outside shot.

Hummel - looks amazing, he stays healthy this year and WOW

Johnson- looked equally as good, didn't get a ton of inside looks, didn't matter, was stroking it 15 feet and beyond.

Kramer - had 11 pts, played his normal defense, missed a few FTs, overall good

Grant - kinda invisible in this game, didn't do much offensively, was pretty decent defensively

Moore - looked like hes finding his stroke a little, so-so game for him.

Bade - looked a little weak at first, ended strong, rebounded well, but the game was well in hand, we'll see

Barlow- wasn't great, but i'm glad we didn't redshirt, he showed flashes of greatness and should get minutes

Byrd - missed his first two FTs, ended 4-6. Has good range, took a few bad shots.....overall not bad

Smith - hit a few shots, looked pretty good. Will always be a spot shooter, held his own enough defensively to see the floor some this year.

Gotta ask, seriously -- is John Hart so bad that he can't get more than 3 minutes in a game like this?

First half was good, mostly because we were hitting everything and really playing good D. Got outscored in the second half. Obviously Matt played the bench, but the team just didn't really look very crisp.

Same old story really. Shoot the three, lose the rebounding battle, force turnovers, push the ball when you can. Half court offense lacked penetration. JJ scored well, but little of that was inside, saw no jump hooks. I think he had two boards. Bade actually had 10 +/- boards to lead the team. He seems to be more comfortable.

First game, no big deal. I'm just hoping to see some improvement in the half court offense and inside play from last year.

Really don't know, Matt's not returning my calls :P

He obviously has to be a disappointment. Something is going on.
