http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=291117010 27 points, 9 rebounds. Unfortunately the team was not able to beat the 10-2 Suns. |

Carl Landry is a nice player that brings a ton of upside off the bench for the Rockets. It's a huge surprise that he's done so well in the NBA, but it shouldn't be given his work ethic. He'll be a solid career player, and a nice sign of what the Purdue program can do. The only negative I can see is the -17 in the plus/minus, but that probably has more to do with having to guard Stoudemire and playing a good team. |

IMO he'll always be an average to below average defender. But he's a good player to have off the bench. He's an instant scoring/rebounding type guy. The biggest thing in his development IMO was his knee injury that forced him to redshirt. In his first year at Purdue, he really relied on his athleticism to be productive, but that knee injury took some of that away from him. He was pretty healthy his senior year, but he become a much better post player that year. And the first NBA game I saw him play, he was night and day different with his athleticism from his senior year. Almost like a completely different player. But that year really helped him refine his skills. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Not unfortunate if you are a Suns and Purdue fan. |
