Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,

Based on the following assumptions.
1. Texas beats Nebraska
2. Cincy defeats Pitt
3. Boise St and TCU make the BCS
4. The national Champ game will be Texas vs SEC Champ
5. Rose Bowl will be OSU vs Ore/Ore ST
6. Sugar Bowl will have the SEC runner-up
7. ACC champ will play in the orange Bowl
8. Iowa gets an at large

Based on that info which scenario would you like to see

Florida would roll Boise.

I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

DC,

I agree but since TCU is the higher ranked at large they should get to play the other BCS undefeafted team. I would not mind seeing Boise get rolled.

Let Boise play the Big East champ, and TCU play the ACC champ.

I like the non-BCS teams in both of those games and I think it'd create a stir going into next season that'd be good for college football.

DC,

Good Gawd that would Put Iowa against the SEC runner-up. That would be horrible for the Big Ten. Iowa is not a BCS quality team but should get in.

Big Ten Bowl games IMO
Rose OSU
BCS Iowa
Cap One Penn ST
Outback Wisky or N'Western
Alamo Wisky or N'Western
Arizona Bowl Minny
Motor City MSU

Purdue was what 6 plays away from the Outback Bowl :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

TCU, Boise St and Iowa can't all 3 be in the BCS.

TCU, Boise St and Iowa can't all 3 be in the BCS.
Yes they can

the BCS is ten teams

BCS Champ game
Rose Bowl
Sugar Bowl
Fiesta Bowl
Orange Bowl

6 conf champs
and 4 at large bids
no conf can send more than 2 teams

Sec will get an at large
Boise St and TCu will

that leaves one opening

Pac 10 no
Big East if Pitt wins than yes Cincy gets it no 2nd Big Ten team
Big 12 if Nebraska then yes texas gets it then no 2nd Big ten Team
ACC no
Big ten with either Penn St or Iowa at 2 losses should get it. I say Iowa because they won in Happy Valley

That won't happen. IF Cincy wins the Big East they will play in the Orange bowl. THat isn't contractually obligated, but that is the way it always is.
Now the Flrida Boise st thing probably will happen if it comes down to that. Assuming Texas and Georgia Tech win their respective championships and Cinci beats Pitt, here is how i see it playing out.

NAtional Championship - Texas vs SEC champ
Rose Bowl - Ohio State vs. Oregon/Oregon St winner
Orange Bowl - Cincinnati vs. G. Tech
Sugar Bowl - SEC Runner up vs Boise St
Fiesta - TCU vs Penn State

Book it Dano

Technically that wouldn't matter anyway. Iowa would still be eligible by virtue of their BCS ranking. There is no rule that says you have to take the higher ranked team when picking between at large teams. That is why i think that Penn State gets the nod over Iowa even though Iowa has a higher ranking and beat them head to head.

Since when has College football made sense?
Let me ask you this. If you are average joe blow sports fan, you watch the big college games throughout the year, and the big bowls, but you don't follow the sport real closely. In that case if someone were to ask you who would you rather see play, Iowa or Penn State, who would you pick? Chances are you pick Penn State. Why? Because they have the name. It's all about money and ratings. If you are the Fiesta bowl, a TCU - Penn State looks much better on paper than TCU-Iowa.
