Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I would like to see Bama beat Florida and then have the Gators play Boise while TCU plays Cincy.
Florida would roll Boise.
At this point, I don't see a whole lot of evidence to back that up.

I hope we get a chance to see the matchup.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

I might have to update my predictions. I think the BCS picks are in a different order than i had previously thought.

I think it is kinda funny that Boise St is starting to get the same benefit of the doubt as the real big boys of CFB.

I have thought Florida was a bit overrated all year, and i think that was prroven last night, but lets not get carrried away with the Bois St love. Boise St had close games against Tulsa and La Tech this year. They also would have no answers for the power of Tebow and the speed of Florida's skill posistion players. And that is not even talking about Florida's defense. The defensive line of Florida is to big, strog, fast, and athletic. They would be in the Boise backfield all day long.

Ok they are not in a different order. I wasn't sure, because i keep seeing a lot of the "experts" saying that Iowa will end up in the Orange bowl, and Cincy will end up in the Sugar. I just don't get that. Here is the rationale for my picks.

Ohio State and Oregon will play each other in the Rose because of tie-ins. Georgia Tech will play in the Orange bowl because of tie-ins.

Now for the picks:

THe Sugar and Fiesta bowl will get a replacement pick each for losing their bowl tie-in teams. The sugar gets to choose first because they lost the number 1 team.

So the Sugar undoubtedly picks Florida. The Fiesta likes to take Non-BCS teams, so they take either TCU or Boise State, I say TCU because it is a better geographic fit, and because they will be the 3rd ranked team.

After the replacement picks, the picks for this year go in this order: Orange, Fiesta, Sugar.

I think the Orange takes Cincy to fill their slot. I have seen a few people say Iowa, and some say Boise St, nut neither really makes sense to me. Cincy will be undefeated and ranked number 4. They also have a very entertaining offense, and it keeps in tact the traditional ACC-Big East matchup in the Orange.

Next is the Fiesta. They could go the maverick route and take Boise, but i doubt it. I think they go the safe route and take the second Big 10 team (i think Penn State).

Then comes the Sugar. they obviously get the leftovers, which in my scenario it Boise St.

So this is how it ends up.
National Champ - Bama vs Texas
Rose Bowl - Ohio State vs Oregon
Orange Bowl - Georgia Tech vs Cincinnati
Fiesta Bowl - TCU vs Penn State (or maybe Iowa)
Sugar Bowl - Florida vs Boise St.

Can you imagine if TCU, Boise and Cincy all win and we end up with 4 undefeated teams at the end of the year? That'd be fucked up.

We might. I will say that Urban Meyer does an excellent job when given that much time to prepare for an opponent.

Yeah, but we heard the same thing about the Oklahoma team they beat...and to be honest, I don't think this Florida team is better than that Oklahoma team.

The year they beat Oklahoma they had tight regular season games agains Wyoming and San Jose State.

Looks like the experts were right This doesn't make any sense to me. After TCU and FLorida filled the spots left open by Texas and Bama, the Orange bowl could choose between Cincy, Boise st, Iowa, Penn State, and Virginia Tech and they choose Iowa. They skip over undefeated and #3 Cincy, and undefeated and #6 Boise St and choose boring ass 2 loss #10 Iowa. Why? Who wants to watch Georgia Tech play Iowa? That makes no sense.

It just looks to me like teams were picked in such a manner so as to make sure there are as few undefeated teams as possible.

DC,

I agree but since TCU is the higher ranked at large they should get to play the other BCS undefeafted team. I would not mind seeing Boise get rolled.
Hog,

I did not get my true wish. I wanted to see a Cincy TCU game and see the Gators kick the shit out of Boise. I use to like Boise. I went to see them play in the 04 Liberty Bowl against L'ville. They just seem like little bitches this year to me for some reason. I can't put my finger on why exactly but this was the first season I hoped they would lose a game since I heard of them in 2002.

TCU should pound them but the distractions will destroy Cincy. I really do believe the Mountain West is tougher than the Big least.

Who wants to watch Georgia Tech play Iowa?
A guaranteed sellout crowd. GT doesn't travel well, but Iowa will most definitely fill those seats.

Of the teams you listed, the best travelers are Iowa and PSU. Iowa beat PSU head to head.

I know this is going to sound insane but I honestly believe that if Kelly ends up staying with Cincy then they will beat Florida this year. I just have that gut feeling that Cincy is the one offense in the Big East that will be able to keep up with any of the big time conferences except maybe bama that defense is scary good.

Each teams school will only get a certain amount of tickets anyway, and i would imagine both schools sell out of tickets. Beyond that, it is a question who else will buy the tickets. Would you pay a couple hundred bucks a ticket to watch Iowa play Georgia Tech? I sure as hell wouldn't.
