Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Just saw on BTNetwork that he will be out for 8 weeks with a back injury. From what we learned from Hummel last year even when he does come back he wont be the same player this year. Huge blow for Ohio St.

I only care that it makes a pretty damn good OSU team and medicore team without him.

hopefully he doesn't feel compelled to come back next year because of this injury, because that would SUCK. Go to the NBA Evan!

Ya dont risk another injury big guy. If he does comeback Ohio St could be scary good.

Wow huge blow to their season. Should be down to MSU and Purdue again, although based on how the two teams have played so far I have to lean towards Purdue.

That would put him about a month away from the big dance when he returns. Should give him enough time to get back into form and get his legs under him.

Its a back injury in which he broke 2 vertebrae, dont expect to see the real Evan Turner back this season.

they're giving the timeline of 8 weeks, but i think that'll be 8 weeks until he can practice again. he won't be game ready, nor do i think they'll risk him playing at all this season. i had a teammate in high school football who broke a vertebrae, and it ended up being career-ending, so it's a very serious injury that he'll not want to take lightly -- especially if he wants to have a productive NBA career.

Wow, that is a bad blow for OSU and Turner. He won't be back this year. If he is, I would be real surprised. For his sake, I hope it isn't career ending.

it's pretty rare for broken vertebrae to be career-ending, it's kind of a one in a million shot. in the case of my teammate, bone chips from the vertebrae actually got caught in his spine, so if he got hit, he would basically die on impact. i doubt it's career ending for turner, but i'd think it'd be unlikely to see him again this year.
