Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

SUH FOR HEISMAN
after tonight, I would say he is a lock-in for New York. I think Ingram will win it though.

i disagree. C.J. Spiller....

but will either of them win the Heisman? no because college football is the most corrupt sport in the nation.

Texas would beat both TCU and Cincy. Not one of the those teams has the D Nebraska had and neither have Bo Pelini as the coach. This guy is one of the best defensive coaches in the game if not the best. Texas has one of the best Ds in the country hands down. You are all overracting to one game a game in which Nebraska had nothing to lose and Texas had everything to lose. Yes the Big 12 is not very good but eaither is the big east or Mountian West.

I'm kind of saddened by the fact that Suh being so good is what forced McCoy to throw the ball away just in the nick of time.

If he doesn't get through the line, Colt leisurely throws the game away

your thought process is very similar to the BCS. how in the hell do you know Texas would beat TCU or Cinci? Was Utah supposed to beat Bama? Was Boise State supposed to beat Oklahoma. Nobody can tell me otherwise that TCU and Cinci deserve a shot at a national championship.

Those are poor assumptions. TCU has always had one of the top defenses in the country and was potent on offense this season. I honestly think McCoy would struggle against the TCU defense. Cincinnati is a question mark, but their offense is powerful enough to outscore Texas.

Which is why we need a playoffs system but were not going to get one, so I believe from what I've saw and the shitty system we have Texas still should play for a National Championship.

They wouldn't have to have had a better defense than Nebraska tonight...an offense that can break 180 yards would have been enough. An offense that can start a drive at the 9 and not end up with a field goal.

To your first point, that is speculation, this all is.
To your second point, actually, TCU does have the defense that Nebraska has. Nebraska going into tonight averaged 1.3 points less given up a game that TCU 1.3 points. They also give up about 60 yards MORE a game than TCU. And that by the way is against a very similar strength of schedule.
To your third point, yes Pelini is a very good defensive coach, but the best? Charlie Strong, Bud Foster, Nick Saban, Ellis Johnson, and TCU's own Gary Patterson might have something to say about that.

And that is something that TCU does have. I don't think that people realize just how good TCU has been this year. They are the only team in the country to rank in the top 5 in both scoring and total offense AND scoring and total defense. ANd that is against a schedule that is comparable to most teams in the Big 10 or Big 12 North, or Big East.
Not only that, but they are 2-0 against teams in the top 30 and those games weren't close. I think they are the only team in the Top 10 to not have a close game all season.

tcu should play for the title...cincy has won but it less convincing fashion than texas over recent weeks and arguably against worst competition. tcu's answered the bell every time. barring tcu, i'd like to see boise st. in there...just becuase they're boise st. and i'm tired of the texas' of the world padding a mere 12 game schedule with 4 or 5 gimmes...and 8 home games.

Of course its speculation, I dont think anyone knows for sure but IMO Texas is bigger faster and more talented than both TCU and Cincy. I have only seen TCU play a little bit this year but i have seen Cincy play a couple of times and seen Texas play 4 or 5 times and watching both those teams there is not a doubt in my mind Texas would win more times than not. Could Cincy beat Texas, Yes do I think there the better team no.

The sad part about all of this is that we will never know because of this screwed up system that we have in CFB.
