Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I don't think that would ever happen but if it did I don't know if the way I feel about college basketball would ever be the same. It'd be like a girl cheating on you.

you guys do realize that it's been expanded many times already, correct?

96 seems a bit much now........as it stands, approximately 8-10 teams per year have a legimate gripe about not making the field. 8-10 teams tops........ maybe allowing a play-in for a few more teams, or even simply letting the NIT champ in, would do it.

Worst. Idea. Ever.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

And of those 8-10 teams none of them have a shot at winning the National title so i say leave it where its at.

Jay Bilias said at halftime of the Butler-Gtown game that is inevitable that will happen. I really hope he is wrong.

believe it or not, its not just about a national title.......a nice little unexpected run or simply making the tourney can help teams IMMENSELY with recruiting......

Purdue didn't have a legimate shot at the title in 2006 or 2007.......should they not have made it?

if you're talking legimate national title teams, you have like 8-10 tops

I disagree with only 8-10 teams having a legitimate chance. Did IU not have a legitimate chance in 2002? George Mason in 2006? NC State in 1982? I think that there are probably some teams that have been left out of the tourney in the last 10 years that had at least a slim chance to make the Final Four. Not saying the tourney needs expanded, just that it's not true that only 8-10 teams have a shot at winning.

Although I will say this...can you imagine trying to fill out a bracket if they doubled the field? That would be an all-day affair...

Thats kinda my point, if you only say, well its fine the bubble team didn't make it, they had no shot at the title anyways.....you're kinda defeating the purpose of the tournament

what seed was IU in 2002?
