Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Dickie V is retarded. He said that Rose WAS eligible, so the wins shouldn't have been vacated. The thing is, the College Board never validated his scores, thus he should have never been accepted into the university. The clearinghouse messed up, but the school knew something was up. That's what the allegations are for.
If the College Board never validated his scores, then why was he cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse?
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Question: Before the Derek Rose thing came out, had Sampson never been hired (or let's say was theorectically fired for sucking and not being a dirtball), how interested do you think IU would have been...........??

A lot of you guys slame him, and Kentucky, but I think without the Sampson scandal and before the Derek Rose thing, IU would have taken him in a heartbeat.
If I'm not mistaken, Derek Rose did not qualify to make it in to Indiana. Mostly because of the SAT thing.
Proof please.

This might sound crazy but watching Kentucky go up and down the court, they seem to not get back on defense quickly. IF, and that is a big IF, IU can run on sat. i see IU sticking with kentucky through the game. UK has alot of size and talent, but it just seems the bigs don't run the court very well. Even whenever UK ran it seemed to be wall and the other guard running with bigs trailing behind. Until watching this game tonight i thought IU would get blown out by 20 something points, but after the last 2 nights i think IU is going to be the talk on ESPN highlights when UK goes down
I appreciate your optimism, but IU beating UK would be an upset along the lines of the US v. Soviets in Lake Placid, 1980.
Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men’s views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.
