Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Last week I was reading a thread where you referred to Purdue's beatdown against Duke last season, and you called the Boilers a "top fifteen team" in quotes. That same team went on to play in the second weekend in the NCAA tourney. What else do you expect a "top fifteen team" to accomplish, and what's your definition of a "top 15 team?"

College basketball is down. Free throws. Wasted scholarships.

Rinse and repeat.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Well 'technically', you made it as far as a top '16' team, so that must be what he meant... :chug:

Yeah, it's a trick question. Last year there were only three top fifteen teams.

I think you guys might be on to something. Uconn was a "good" team, and UNC was the "National Champion."

As I stated many times last season....the 15th ranked team from last year was comparable to a 22-27 team during good seasons. MINN went on a horrid streak, almost losing to IU in the process, and the voters had no teams to replace them with so they didn't drop in the rankings. Illinois scored less than 40 points a few times and were in and out of the top 25. There just wasn't much depth last year, which led to inflated rankings. It's even worse this year, Jay Wright has been laughing at his team being ranked in the top 5 saying he has had several teams in the past that were much better but never ranked as high as his current team.

The 2000 Hoosiers (20 point losers to Pepperdine and lost at home to ISU) would have finished no worse than second in the 2009 B10 standings.

That one is still my all-time favorite.

honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if this is 100% clean. he's a very articulate player...also, since he's a one and done, this doesn't really change anything for UK..his scholly is free next year anyway barring any injuries..
