| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! I know how myself and other people feel about Ben Allen, but I was sort of impressed with the fact that he averages more than 7 rebounds a game and he averages 3 assists per game. Sort of a different player than when he was at IU. That guy could not mix it up down low and get a rebound for shit and he could not pass to save his ass. But for him to average those numbers tells me he finally has learned how to play the game for a guy his size, which could be the competition. Other than one game where he launched nine 3's, he hasn't taken that many. Also, his free throw percentage is decent. I am not a Ben Allen fan, but he does look much improved. Also, it didn't help that Mike Davis made him out to be a high level recruitl. Maybe that is why we all feel the way we do about him. |

I thought he was all about Cross-Office foliage-throws. With pots and peat. |

ben allen never got rebounds at IU because he hung out around the 3-pt line all game because he thought he was a point guard. the guy was as worthless at jobe. :JOBE: |

honestly, while that's true, i have to blame davis for a lot - if not most - of that. and with that mentality drilled into his head...sampson just, justifiably, turned the other way. the guy has some skills...but mike davis was probably about the worst thing that could have happened to him. what he needed was a college coach... |

I'm not sure Alford is a great coach, but I think he would have been very successful at IU. Honestly, any coach that knows about basketball and has the support of the fan base is going to have a certain minimum degree of success because IU has it's own draw. |

I definitely didn't want Afford. I think he could've made us a top 15-25 team pretty consistently, but I don't think he'd ever win a championship. He'd do just enough to not get fired. |
