Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I really dug the whole Seattle music scene...except Soundgarden. Bought their stuff...didn't really care for them. Cornell's voice is pretty bland IMO and Black Hole Sun to me is simply a boring song. I know lots of people that liked them, but to me give me Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Alice in Chains and you can keep Soundgarden.

I'll contribute this one, a more recent one from a Seattle suburb group called Mount Saint Helen's Vietnam Band. The song is a little repetitive, but it's unique and the video has some beautiful scenery. The three actors in the video are all in the group. The song is "Albatross, Albatross, Albatross."

This is for you bass players on here. The great Victor Wooten. Kind of a log video, but a good one. If you only want to watch part, i suggest skipping ahead to 5:2 for the badass rendition of Amazing Grace

OT trivia question:

In what song are the following words whispered:

"So Dad would take the Sunday's off, and that's the only time he could ever get any rest, and so, because we were loud on Sundays, He'd make us hold his construction suits over our head, till we'd sleep and they were really heavy, and it only had one sleeve, but we'd start crying, because it's too heavy.. and..."

Eric Clapton, Cheryl Crow and David Sandborn. Little Wing off Clapton's Friends video. Sandborn's solo is just outstanding. Clapton and Crow just kind of sit back and shake their heads. Sandborn splits a lip and just keeps going. Fun to watch and outstanding music!

EVERLONG!

I remember reading that somewhere recently. Was really surprised that that's what he was whispering... Great song, though.

You either love them or you hate them. I happen to love them:

Thom Yorke (of Radiohead) doing a solo show with a bunch of really talented people.

Get past the pop stuff like Big Time and Sledgehammer...and Peter Gabriel has put out some amazing stuff.

Solsbury Hill from 2004. Stage set had an outer ring that could revolve.
