Bri, was wondering if there's any way to expand the file size in the emoticon section, figured you would know if it was at all possible. Just ran across a few GIFs I thought might get used on the board pretty frequently. As of now, the file size limit is at 200 KB, and upon trying to reduce these to fit they really became unreadable. Anyway, just thought I'd post them here so that people could see them. If not, or it's a ton of work, don't worry about it. Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image |

Would 800 KB be too much? |

try this for me, jaz. in admin cp, click "file manager", then "upload files", then upload the file, then assign it as an emoticon. you might be able to get around the 200kb limit that way. then when it's in emoticons, make sure it doesn't show the gif every time you want to post something because that would slow down the load time. br |

Upon trying to upload the file, still getting the error message: Error: The uploaded file is larger than the maximum allowed size of 200 KB. Error Code: 54006:2482229 Edited by Jazen, Feb 19 2010, 04:45 PM.

Like I said, Bri, don't bother if it's a hassle. |

I think the size limit is hardcoded into the zeta code. Btown, any help? If we can't change it, i'd like to incorporate common OHB gifs somehow into here to make it easy. I think they're hilarious. Another blog I frequent has a link dump for stuff like this on the sidebar: http://lookoutlanding.com br |

it's probably a zeta limit because you're uploading to their servers. you could probably compress the files. |
