Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

The only question I have, and I have stated many times and panchen, I believe, has mentioned it as well: Why hasn't he used the bench as a motivator? Why keep starting a guy like Pritchard and playing him 20 plus minutes/game if you don't like the way he plays. Came to school over 25 pounds overweight. That right there tells me that guy has no work ethic and I am sure there are others. Why not play Capo and Elston more, as mentioned by panchen and others?

I remember after the 1987 season, Ricky Calloway was told he was going to lift weights and get stronger over the summer and if he we wasn't going to do that, then Knight would help him find another place to play. Needless to say he transferred, with the help of Knight, to Providence to play for Pitino. That sounds like what could happen here. But Crean should use the bench first to see if these guys will wake up and quit sleep walking. He is not going to win any more games at this rate anyway, so he may as well play guys that will give him effort, especially Muniru.
It's a nice little story....but it's not true.

Ricky Calloway transferred to Kansas after basically being benched for half a season under Knight.

Delray Brooks transferred to Providence....mostly because he couldn't play a lick of defense and no way could he play in Knight's man to man system.

You are right, I got it backwards. But Calloway didn't want to hit the weight room or put in the work necessary during the off season to warrant playing under his system; therefore, Knight benched him. That is the way I heard it, but I guess I could be wrong about that too. I know I am not wrong about Crean not using the bench as motivator. I personally think he should start there though.

– Crean said he wants to see a lot of strength training from the big men this spring and summer including more “barbaric” drills like rolling massive tires. --- that's a start.

crean also apparently said he doesn't want any point guards in the future who can't hit the 3 point shot. that's got to be a shot across the bow for mr. rivers.

So where is the outrage over guys not giving effort defensively for the last 5 games? I brought it up, and certain people said that IU is young and playing hard every night shouldn't be expected.

there you go with your "certain people" shit again.......link it or stfu. I bet you embarrass what few friends you have all the time.......you are the guy that gets drunk and keeps saying stupid shit and wont stfu.....we all know your type. The guy that nobody wants to hang out with for fear that his douchieness will rub off...... is a common move for anyone near you

Now he decides that. He should have decided that when he allowed Rivers to come there in the first place and to allow Mr. Moore to play so many minutes.

But I thought Rivers was a solid contributer for a highly ranked Georgetown team that was going to come in use a year of experience from practicing Crean's system to lead this offense and be a force for the team?

I guess we thought that too. We didn't realize how bad of a shooter he was. Now we know why he didn't shot much for Georgetown. I guess we thought he was better than what he actually was.
