Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

...lol...

...WOJO...
I think I have a better chance of coaching Purdue some day than UE does of landing Wojo.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

An assistant from IU or Purdue would be a good hire. And a realistic one.

Cuonzo went to Missouri State last year, so maybe a guy like Tim Buckley or Rick Ray would be nice for them.

no way is this upset of the year. penn over cornell is a much better candidate as creevch pointed out.

truth is UNI isn't that impressive...at least the few games i've seen. and winning the state of iowa isn't very impressive either. and neither is the mvc if you as me.

That is who I was thinking about. I think he would be a pretty decent fit at UE.

One of my bosses went to Northern Iowa. He's pretty pissed about this game. I think its hilarious.

Does this loss put UNI on the bubble if they dont win the Conference tournament? THey have no real good wins, BC prolly being there best and have lost to UE and Depaul.

I think they're definitely on the bubble. If they don't win the MVC tournament they should be seriously sweating come selection sunday.

you know IU basketball is bad when we start talking about UNI.

but, yes I think they're out unless they win the conference tourney. there are a ton of worthy bubble teams from big conferences this year.

Their RPI is still in the top 25. I bet they'd be safe if they lose to one of the other top MVC teams.

As Cam said, they have an RPI in the top 25; they have 8 wins against teams in the top 100 RPI (3 on the road). Short of losing their last regular season game at home against Illinois State or losing in the first round of their tourney, they are solidly in.

The PAC 10 laying a complete egg this year is going to nothing but help out mid majors like NI.

Yup, they've had a great year.

All the bubble teams are praying that Cal wins the Pac10 tourney. They're RPI top 25, and would probably get in even if they don't win the conference. Everybody else probably needs to win the Pac10 tourney. That conference has been horrendous this year.

I feel like the few bids the Pac-10 normally would get will help bubble teams in the other major conferences more than mid-majors. I wasnt aware of Northern Iowa's RPI and wins against top 100 teams, so they should be good anyway.
