I'm in the camp that believes Conan got completely fucked over by NBC and is 10 times more talented and funny than Jay Leno. Conan created a Twitter account today!!! http://twitter.com/ConanOBrien check it. br |

hahaha He's hilarious. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

yeah...i hope he gets a fox slot opposite of leno then completely takes him out. i hate how they act like conan's lower ratings were a product of his show and not that they put leno on before him. they set him up for failure. i get the feeling that this is what they planned from the beginning. conan handled this one as well as anyone could. br |

the ratings disagree with you. Its not a coincidence the Tonight Show dropped in rating a couple weeks after Conan took over. |

hard to get ratings out of the gate when NBC creates another "tonight show" right before you and you're going against letterman. Just like IU right now, it takes time to get to glory. Lower ratings were expected. Leno busted out of the gates because he was a frequent host of Carson's show when he had days off. Conan didn't have that luxury. At the end of the day, the cards were stacked against O'Brien. br |

Actually Leno's ratings weren't that good at first. Letterman took over number one for about a year when he moved to CBS. It took awhile for Leno to gain steam. I imagine if they would have given Conan a year or two he would have been fine. And as far as the Conan Leno thing, both of them had shitty numbers in their new time slot, but there are generally more people watching tv when Leno was on than when Conan was on and Leno still got terrible numbers. |
