Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,

I don't think Lucas was out long enough to count, so plug in Coble in his spot. Move Turner to the PG spot and give that a shot.

PG - Turner
SG - Creek
SF - Coble
PF - Hummel
C - Leuer

That looks like a damn scary team to me, I absolutely wouldn't want to play them.
I am not so sure about that. Their bench is not very deep and I hear they are injury prone.
Wow. I'm both impressed by that and embarrassed for you.

We can bring Jackson, Roth, and Marcius off the bench.

Shocking that there are 3 Purdue players and 2 IU players on the potential All-Injury team.....
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

I thought we wanted players that are good?

You don't think Lewis Jackson is good? And you don't think Roth has any worth to a team?

Having worth is a far cry from being good IMO.

I know LewJack missed a lot of the year, but he hasn't done anything to impress me whatsoever this year. Next year after he gets back into the flow of things, I might consider him a good player again.

But to answer your question, no I do not.

Well, if you expect a guy who has been out for 3 months to step into the middle of the B10 season and be at top form, then you aren't very bright.

Did you watch the Iowa/Purdue game at Mackey? If you did, I fail to realize how you don't think that was an impressive performance.

How much of the Purdue games have you watched since he's been back?

Thanks to my cousin, I've watched almost every minute during Big Ten season unless it's getting out of hand (Iowa game). I watched about 15 minutes of that game, but I've seen almost all of the rest of them. He's forced some really, really bad shots.

And I know he's not going to be in top form. That's why I said next year he may be good again. But that doesn't change the fact that right now he's not a good player, in my humble opinion.

Okay.

Coble, Creek, and Hummel aren't good right now either, so we have to take them off the team.

Nor are they allowed to play.

What has he done since he's been back to excite you when he comes in the game?

Lets see:

He plays well on defense, especially pressuring the ball (one of the most important parts of our defense). He penetrates and finds open teammates. He has rarely turned the ball over. He's rebounded well from the guard spot. And he made one of the biggest plays of the night in the win at Minny (he corralled the rebound and started the break and made the assist that gave us our first lead of the 2nd half)

Most of the forced shots that he has taken have been when the shot clock was down around 10 or under.

What has he done that should make me worry when he's in the game?

Oh yeah, and we're 8-0 since he's returned.

Leave it to eelbor to come up with that one. Now the bench that dcam mentioned gives them a decent team, but too bad they aren't all able to play together. Maybe we can get some wheelchairs out there and let them scrimmage.
