Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Gotta admit, I was very pleased with the effort tonight. Calls didn't go our way and Wisky couldn't miss a shot. We played decent D for the most part. I really hope that Crean's ejection lights a fire in this team. I just don't know if I can take another season like the last two next year. Just gotta be optimistic.

i think once we step back after this season we'll realize that it wasn't all that bad. this team is young/inexperienced/tired/etc, etc. this is just one season of many for IU basketball, and this struggle could be the key to lighting the fire for the future. honestly, i think we might view this ejection as a "turning point" in coming years.

For many years I've been one of the harshest critics of the IU program. I dogged on Davis, I slayed Sampson from day one....but this team under Crean? Seriously, it isn't that bad. We ARE playing hard.

Here's what I keep telling everyone...Indiana is a state that has a famed high school basketball program. High school basketball is practically a religion. As of recent, North Central and Bloomington South have been two very publicized teams. Now, imagine, if next year they both played a prominent freshman lineup. High school freshman vs. Juniors and Seniors. I don't think people would be as critical because the talent disparity is VERY obvious. This makes me wonder why people are freaking the fuck out about IU's squad right now. I mean, we just lost to a VERY good Wisconsin team. They're the 19th best team in the country...we're just a bunch of freshmen with our best player sitting on the bench with an injury.

Calm down. They're freshmen. We are supposed to lose these games. The team isn't giving up. It's all part of the process. Chill...the....fuck...out.

Nankivil is pretty much impossible for us to guard from 3. Of course that's true for most teams.
He's 12/16 in 4 games against Purdue.

Fuck him.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

I wonder what Crean's explaination for keeping Elston on the bench all season is.
Might have repercussions in the offseason according to some rumors.

I'm about sick of these refs. It doesn't account for being down almost 30, but still they suck.

Every time Wisconsin drives it's a foul on us. We drive into the lane and get hacked all over the place and they refuse to call a foul. That was a Wisconsin travel right there on Hughes...instead they call a foul and he goes to the line.
Its called defensive position. UW teaches it better than any team in the conference.

They played hard against WISC last night, but if you think they played hard in the 4 games or so before that you are delusional. Youth has nothing to do with effort, and Crean should have sent a message by benching guys who only give effort on the offensive end of the floor.

4 turnovers in a row. Dumes is embarrassing.
I will be glad when that guy is gone. What we have coming in as freshman next year, and they are freshman, will be an upgrade to Dumbass and Jobe. Dumbass wouldn't play at Morehead State University.

Crean ejected...........I wouldn't want to stick around for this either. It's about freaking time. Who knows, maybe he will start benching guys who don't give effort. A brand new Crean could be in the making.
That has been my frustration with Crean. It is obvious we aren't going to win. Why not bench Pritchard and others that aren't playing like they are suppose to and play Bawa, Capo, Moore, and others to send that message. I don't like Moore, but Crean needs to send a message.

After Pritchard missed those 2 FTs last night, they said he has now missed 10 in a row. Wow

They are not all freshman. ;)

We have to quit saying that, they are just freshman. To the best of my knowledge, Pritchard and VJ are sophomores, Rivers is a junior but is a senior school wise, and Dumbass is a senior. But none of them play with any discipline, court awareness, and intelligence on the floor. VJ constantly drives in the lane and loses the ball, Pritchard plays like a pussy, Rivers can't shot from outside, turns the ball over way too much, and Dumbass, well that name says it all. He would start for Morehead State University. Now I understand Watford is lean and playing a little out of position, Hulls needs 30 feet to get his shot off, Elston and Capo aren't on the floor enough to get better or improve. Bawa should have gotten minutes as well. We aren't going to win, so Crean needs to play all the Freshman and fuck Dumbass and Pritchard.

Bri, it's not getting beat that people are frustrated about, it is how we are getting beat. There is no way we should be beat at home by that big of a margin to any team in the B10, especially Wisky, who doesn't score that much to begin with.

I'm guessing you say that from experience. You've been to a UW camp/clinic or something? How the fuck would you "know" that?
