Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

lose hummel and move up to no. 1 in the national polls? it's distinctly possible...maybe even assured if the 'cuse don't win.

still say PU ends up a no. 1 seed...and pulls a '92 IU (no henderson) ending up a game short, two possibly, of final four.

it's possible. I think Cuse needs to lose, and they need to absolutely destroy msu. I mean, really make a statement against msu. I have a feeling Kansas may stay #1 though. The new rankings will be very interesting.

Dont see, even if we win, I say UK and Kansas still stay ahead because both of those teams still only have 2 loses.

IU went to the FF in 1992

You r thinking of the 1993 season and that is a totally different situation. IU was very deep and loaded in 1993.

22G Damon Bailey 40F Calbert Cheaney 34 F Brian Evans 20G Greg Graham 33 GPat Graham

44F Alan Henderson G Pat Knight 30G Todd Leary 50C Todd Lindeman 24C Matt Nover 21G Chris Reynolds

11GMalcolm Sims

Calbert was national Player of the year

Gotta win the BT, probably outright.....meaning winning the next 3.........and win at least 2 in the tourney. The committee is going to be really paying attention to how we play without Robbie. Any loss will give them cause to drop us down. Rightfully so.

agreed...but i don't see a loss before the b10 tourney final to osu...which will be 10 minutes before the seeds are announced...i.e. purdue will already be in...

I do.

The emotion will carry us for awhile, but I don't think it will carry us for 5 games. JMO.

Cuse just rolled Nova. Not sure is Purdue will pull it out tomorrow but if its close I could see Cuse jumping them for the number one spot. Im thinking Cuse, UK, and KU get one seeds and that 4th one is pretty much Purdue's to lose. Win the Big 10 regular season and tourney and Purdue has a 1.

I think the emotion carries us to a close game against MSU tomorrow. I expect Mackey to be absolutely insane, possibly the loudest its ever been.

If we pull out a close one tomorrow, I think we take care of business the next two and win the regular season title outright. Then we go to the BTT, win the first, lose the second, get the best 2nd seed.

After that, its about matchups (which I say every year, except for this if Hummel were around because I think we were better than all but 3 teams). If we get lucky (which prolly won't happen) and get into a bracket with a 3 seed Temple and a 4 seed New Mexico, who knows.

We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Yeah, 27-2 isn't very good.

Yeah, 27-2 isn't very good.
never said they weren't a good squad, but they aren't a "for-sure elite 8 team." I mean, let's take a look at their OOC schedule:

Hofstra
Memphis
Central Arkansas
Oakland
Tennessee Tech.
Alcorn St.
UCLA
Radford
La Salle
Michigan
Cal
Belmont
Temple
Cornell
Tennessee (loss)

WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

So, of all their OOC games, they lost to the only good opponent. yup, this is a team that shows strength....

Again, not saying they aren't good, but they're getting wayyyyyy too much credit.

Honestly, i won't be surprised if they lose to k-state on wednesday.

I totally agree. I think they are a good team, but #1? I guess we'll see soon. Even if Purdue beats MSU, I still don't think they will be rated #1.

No one ever gives us any love..........

If we beat Sparty at home today we should be #1. I know UK and KU etc only have 2 losses, but look at our SOS and RPI. How many wins would that be over ranked teams? How many wins in a row? Exactly-

I think our schedule speaks for itself and if we win, especially w/o Rob, we should be #1.
