Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

do i even need to link the multiple threads in the past that i've stated that kansas isn't as good as advertised? just sayin...

br
Yeah, 27-2 isn't very good.
never said they weren't a good squad, but they aren't a "for-sure elite 8 team." I mean, let's take a look at their OOC schedule:

Hofstra
Memphis
Central Arkansas
Oakland
Tennessee Tech.
Alcorn St.
UCLA
Radford
La Salle
Michigan
Cal
Belmont
Temple
Cornell
Tennessee (loss)

WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

So, of all their OOC games, they lost to the only good opponent. yup, this is a team that shows strength....

Again, not saying they aren't good, but they're getting wayyyyyy too much credit.

Honestly, i won't be surprised if they lose to k-state on wednesday.

br
Kansas isn't great, but they are the most complete team in the country.....as I've stated several times all season. You were so sure of Kansas that you ignored my early season bets that they were a final four lock.
Syracuse is the best team in the country. They have experience, depth, good guard play and good big men, a star in Johnson, and I'd take Jim Boeheim over Bill Self in a fucking heartbeat.

Duke is going to have a legit argument for a #1 seed. They're 24-4 with the #4 SOS.

IMO, the possible #1 seeds are Kansas, Kentucky, Purdue, Syracuse, and Duke (in no partcular order). The bottom line is that I can't see all of them winning their conference title outright AND winning their conference tourney.
I really dont see how Duke has a SOS of 4. The ACC is not very good this year. They have only 1 ranked team. This team is not nearly as good of team when away from Cameron. There OOC schedule was not that strong and of there 4 games that were tough ( Uconn, Wisconsin, Gonzaga, Georgtown) they went 2-2, and I personally think Gonzaga is overrated.
I hate Duke but I could see them having a case for a one seed. They'll likely win the ACC regular season and tournament, and are 14-3 against the RPI top 100, with 8 wins against teams in the top 50.
Ya i just feel most of those have come against average ACC teams and when playing tougher teams like Wisonson and G-Town on the road they have looked somewhat average.
Yeah, I just think oddly enough for once Duke is being overlooked a bit. I don't necessarily think they'll win it all or anything, but they have the team that could make a final four run.
