Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

So what is a ticket cost down on the glass, in the "party section", or on the top?

I've never been to the Nashville bars, and me and some buddies have been talking about going. Would be cool to see a predator's game now that I've been infected with hockey fever.
You and your friends may want to refrain from all the hugging until you get back to your room though....... ;)
That's enough out of you, lol.

I forgot about the other part of my hockey stories. Well 3 of us guys brought these 3 girls back to my buddies apartment. I didn't sleep well during the night, and woke up 2 or 3 times to take a leak or whatnot. Mind you every time I woke up I was still very drunk.

Anyways, each time I ran around the apartment yelling USA USA USA until I woke some people up and elicited a response from them. Needless to say neither the guys or girls were too happy with me. I can't help it I'm patriotic for USA sporting events though, right?

I watched it but I was hardly ever entertained. the goal with 24 seconds left was pretty cool but it in no way inspired me to watch the overtime, so I didn't. haha.
Are you gay?

I really hope BTown was/is kidding with his comments. I just don't see how when your country is participating in a sporting event like that against the best in the world, you couldn't be rooting your heart out for them. It just doesn't make sense.

And the funny thing is, the tall bitch that I brought back with me was actually from England.

She thought I was just being a dumbass and giving her a hard time about chanting USA. I had to explain that it had nothing to do with her, just my ridiculous amount of excitement for that game.

BTW, I can't stop watching highlights of the Parise goal. I need help,,,,

It's not about the game being played my man. I haven't watched one live minute of hockey this season.

i just don't like hockey or the winter olympics in general. speed skating was probably the only event that peaked my interest.

Btown, you have to like everything that everybody else likes. Duh.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Fuck off DC :)

I realize that everyone likes different things. But we're all Americans here. And when your team is an underdog fighting their hearts out against the best in the world on their turf, I don't see how you couldn't be excited. Plus, being down 2-0 and to come storming back like that in the closing seconds...that's a movie script becoming real-life. I know we're all wired differently. For the most part, I couldn't care less about hockey. But when my fellow citizens are coming together and putting on that kind of display, they not only have my full respect as athletes, but I'm going to cheer my ass off for them.

i'm a huge US Soccer and US Basketball fan. it has nothing to do with the americanism, it has everything to do with my distaste for hockey.

Yeah, well, I can't understand that for the life of me, but I'll respect your right not to enjoy hockey whatsoever. To each their own I suppose.

I still don't think you were born as a U.S. citizen though.

it has nothing to do with hockey. It was patriotism at its finest. I don't watch hockey at all, but by god I was cheering them on. I have to say though, after watching hockey during the Olympics, has definitely prompted me to start watching some NHL on occasions.

i mean i obviously wanted them to win, i just didn't find it to be compelling TV. mostly I wanted the US to win so canadians would have another reason to hate themselves..

That's great to hear. I mean, baseball and basketball are my thing...but i love to watch a hockey match (same goes for soccer). Really, hockey has been on the rise since HDTV has become more common in households. Watching hockey in SD sucks ass. NBC is bringing back "NHL Game of the Day" in HD. That's a great place to start. I'd even go as far as picking a team to watch and loosely follow them. It's always cool to follow a team and hate their rivals.

soccer FTW.

US vs. Netherlands on Wednesday at 2:30 ET. The last friendly before the final roster is decided on. The US won't be playing their full squad, but it'll be fun to see guys battle out for the final roster spots.

btw.. The Netherlands are ranked #3 in the FIFA rankings (they are expected to play their full squad) and the US is ranked 14th.
