Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I think the success of this team relies on KG stepping up his game. He has played well over the past 3 weeks. He needs to IMO crank it up one more notch. Will He

I say yes. I don't think he needs to step up a whole lot more. 6-13, 5-10 from distance. That's what we need from him. Gotta be able to stretch the defense and give Johnson some room underneath to work. And watching him shoot yesterday, he's a confident X-Man now. He'll keep it up.

I voted yes, because I hope its true. But we'll have to wait and see.

so there is no option for him to play average? Seems like the most likely scenario.

Agree with Brum on this one. KG has began to pick up the scoring but he is still lacking the mentality of playing like a senior. He has made some extremely poor and bone headed decisions that a senior shouldn't make let alone one that has played in as many games as him. I would say the increase in scoring combined with plays like fouling a three point shooter at the end of the game or making an idiotic pass equals out to him playing average.

That foul on the three point shooter was utter BS.

I had to listen to the game on the radio so didn't see it but they said Grant was not complaining and even if it was BS why is he jumping out that close to a 3 point shooter that late in the game to even put a foul into question?

Because when its a close game, you should be contesting all shots.

It initially looked like a foul to me, which is all the ref could go on so I wasn't upset with the call.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

There is a difference between contesting a shot and jumping in the air at the shooter giving yourself a chance at fouling and a senior should know the fine line between the two. Once again just listened to the game on the radio so my only knowledge from what KG did is from the radio announcers.

If you watched a replay, there was literally zero contact during the play. The shooter tripped and fell, so the refs called a foul.

Dane Fife still never touched the Duke shooter.

Unfortunately, perception is reality in the eyes of refs.

Okay well then I'll take that bad mistake form Grant away. It still leaves him with way too many a senior leader should have.
