Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

The only difference a seed makes is in whether this team makes it to the 2nd round or not.

Are you serious? This team is better than what they showed yesterday. They will get a 3 or 4 seed. They are not going to lose to a 13 or a 14 seed. I cant explain what happened yesterday but every game is different. Our guys are more embarrassed than we are... they are going to come out with something to prove in the tournament. I dont think a trip to the sweet 16 is far fetched.

It's all about matchups.

At best we're a 4. That's my guess. A #3 would mean we were one of the best 12 in the country. We're clearly not.

The writers had already written us off for a #1, even if we won the BTT. Both polls kept us high, mostly because of our record.........and we shared the BT and won some games without Robbie.

But the debacle yesterday just gave everyone the proof they were looking for. Big drop in the polls....who cares...... A #5 seed wouldn't shock me either. There were many out there who thought we weren't that good with Robbie. Now they will hammer us.

The real question is how Kramer and Grant will respond. They are seniors, and will either sack up, play loose, and carry more of the offensive load, or we will need someone else to step up. We have plenty of other guys who can score. Yesterday was the classic deer in the headlights scenario.

Thank god yesterday wasn't the first round next week, because we would have been the 2nd or 3rd #2 seed to lose in the first round.

Unfortunately, it's pretty easy to explain: One player (Moore) had a bad game. That's why I'm getting so concerned about player development right now. Only one player has an abnormally bad game and we lose to a bubble team by 30 in a semi-home game.

Who else can score on this team besides Johnson and Moore?

It was more than just Etwaan tho. Nobody could throw the ball into the ocean. I think the final shooting percentage for the game was 26% or something crazy like that. This team has played with a ton of heart all year and I didn't see that yesterday... Granted its hard to play with heart when your down 30 but they definitely quit and I didn't like that part. I just hope it doesn't get in their head because they are definitely better than what they showed.

Personally I think they will bounce back for their first game and get their confidence back. And like someone said, after that its all match ups.

Consistently... only Keaton Grant. And he hasn't showed that this year. Moore, Johnson, and Grant all have to be on their game for us to win in the tourney.

Grant is anything but consistent. Now possibly he could get "hot" and help the offense with some 3 point shooting but beyond that he has been useless this year. When he drives he misses lay-ups. When he tries to make plays with his passing he fails miserably. When he tries to drive to make plays he is a walking TO. I'm sad to say but I think Kramer might be the best chance for an offensive spark.

And he could do it if he just became more offensive minded. Shoot the open 15 footer, he can make it. Just take a different approach at the offensive end.

I also have concerns about player development. Grant and Kramer were much better offensively two years ago. Maybe their injuries are part of the blame. Jackson had some flashes of offense last season, and I've see signs from Barlow and Hart this season. Smith and Watford have been big disappointments. I expected them to provide Steve Kerr like 3-pt shooting to give us a lift.
