Better than this, though. Hummel certainly isn't worth 26 points per half. They have only lost one game without him and showed they are better than Nothwestern without him. |

Well, we lost to NW with him, so I'm not really sure what one game proved. We beat two pathetic teams, scored 44 points at home, and beat an NIT team. We also got completely owned for much of the Minny game without him. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Agree with the IU fans here. This is embarrassing. There is no effort and this team has basically quit. They didn't come out with fire and apparently think they are better than what they are. Oh and Earth to Painter... if something isn't working you can change it and do you know any plays to get an open shot?

Not a single one of those games mentioned compares to how poorly they've played so far today. |

I don't think we've said they've quit. If that were the case, they wouldn't have beaten NW. |

as poor as moore has shot/played, bottom line is PU is going to struggle to win if there's not a supporting cast outside of JJ. in wins of late they've gotten that from a kramer or grant or i think even bade? had a solid game in there maybe. tubby has definitely pointed the way to stopping the current boilers for underdog teams...shut down moore at all cost. hell, jackson has to be able to shoot he ball from 15 feet if he's going to be out there in the second half. if he can't make let alone take that shot then get someone in there who can. |

Yes, he should install some new plays that Purdue has never practiced :sarcasm: Its not the plays, its the execution. |

Oh my. Just checked in and saw the score. Didn't realize it was 2nd half already. 11 points? Ouch. I wouldn't take too much from this game. I don't think Purdue particularly cares and Minnesota is obviously fighting for their lives. |

Never said anything about a new play. But considering Painter seems to only consistently run one set play then yeah I guess he would have to come up with something new. My point is how can Purdue not get ANY open looks? |

I think this team has more pride than to not care about a game like this. They're playing for respect and a seed. They just suck right now, and aren't that good without its best player. Hummel is the guy who spreads the other teams' defense out, and without him, teams can suffocate us inside. Good teams exploit that. |
